In a groundbreaking discovery, scientists at Rice University and Texas A&M have developed tiny vibrating molecules called molecular jackhammers. These microscopic tools are made from aminocyanine dyes and are activated by near-infrared (NIR) light. Once triggered, they vibrate nearly 40 trillion times per second, creating a powerful physical force that breaks apart cancer cells from within.
