PFAS. Bisphenols. Phthalates. Microplastics….. Texas has opened an investigation into 2 companies (see on Texas AG page for details) over potential chemical exposure from children’s underwear.

Nothing has been proven yet. But the fact that underwear chemistry is now a consumer-protection issue says a lot!

Finally, we are moving in the right direction guys!!

We check ingredients in food and skincare. Maybe clothing deserves the same scrutiny.

October is Eczema Awareness Month, so we have teamed up with Jennifer Roberge from the Eczema Company for this week's blog.

Yikes … It’s widely known synthetic clothing sheds microplastics into our waterways. (35% of ocean plastic is from clothing!)

But let’s bring it closer to us… what about the fibers shedding inside our homes … from clothes, bedding, carpets and upholstery?

What happens when we breathe them in?

Scientists have been asking this for years, but the research is still surprisingly limited. A new review has just pulled together what we know about airborne textile microfibers and human health.

It’s a pretty chilling read. The science is still developing, but this is something more people should know about.
