Heroic action on the streets of SĆ£o Paulo! šŸšØ

During a patrol near PraƧa da RepĆŗblica in SĆ£o Paulo, Military Police Officers Renan Mangili Duarte de Melo .de.aph and his partnerā€”and wifeā€”Caroline Duarte Mangili Mendes were alerted to a severe robbery incident. Upon arriving at the scene, Officer Renan found the victim suffering from critical arterial bleeding to both the leg and head (femoral and temporal arteries).

Using bleeding-control gear carried on dutyā€”including a Rhino Rescue Tourniquet, Israeli Bandage, and Wound-Packing Gauzeā€”Officer Renan acted swiftly to control the life-threatening hemorrhage. Though the victim tragically suffered vision loss in one eye, these immediate, decisive actions saved a life.

Equally inspiring is Officer Renanā€™s ongoing dedication: he volunteers to train his fellow officers in advanced bleeding control, ensuring more first responders are ready when duty calls.

We are deeply humbled and honored that Rhino Rescue gear could play a role in this heroic rescue. Thank you, Officer Renan and Officer Caroline, for your courage, dedication, and service to your community.
