Feature Friday 🎉 Trunk or Treat was a total treat! 👻

Wednesday evening our campus was full of costumes, candy, and so many smiles. Our residents and kids had a blast going trunk to trunk!

A huge shoutout to our Rec Team for the incredible decorations and for leading the way, and to every team member who decorated a trunk and helped make the night so special. And to our food service staff: those walking tacos were the BEST! 👏

Truly a team effort, and one of the best Trunk or Treats we’ve ever had. Thank you to everyone who made it such a spooktacular night!🧡

Wisdom Wednesday 💡 Did you know? Fall is one of our favorite seasons at Saint Joe’s, and this week has been full of fun! 🎃🍂

🐸 Some of our littles hopped over to Lily Pad for a morning of indoor playground fun, with plenty of climbing, sliding, and giggles.

🎃 Our Rec Team brought the Halloween spirit to the courtyard with pumpkin fun for everyone.

🍪 And at Day Program, volunteers from Saint Ursula Academy joined us to bake (and decorate!) Halloween cookies. Sweet treats, even sweeter company!

Every day is a chance to play, create, and connect. 💙

Mission Monday 🙌 Learning never stops at Saint Joe’s!

Last week, members of our Directors and Leadership team attended the Ohio Provider Resource Association (OPRA) Annual Conference. They connected with fellow providers from across Ohio and brought home fresh ideas to strengthen the care and support we offer every day. 💡

And a big congratulations to our Director of Nursing, Melissa, on graduating from OPRA’s ADVANCE Leadership Training! 🎓

When our leaders keep growing, our whole community grows with them. Thank you to our team for investing in the work, and in the people we serve. 💙

Our history hallway has a fresh new look. It tells the story of how a small infant asylum founded in 1873 grew into the Saint Joe’s community we know today. 💙

📍 1873: St. Joseph Infant Asylum opens to serve women and children
🤝 1875: The Sisters of Charity take the lead
🏡 1967: We move to the Sharonville campus we still call home
🌱 1973: Our mission shifts to support individuals with developmental disabilities
✨ 2013: The Day Program opens
🏘️ 2015: Our first Community Home opens
💙 2025: A new name and a renewed vision

Mission Monday 🙌 Meet Seven — one of the youngest (and sweetest!) members of our Saint Joe’s family!

Seven’s story started with a surprise: she and her twin brother arrived at just 24 weeks. With a growing family at home, her mom chose Saint Joe’s as the place where Seven could get the care and support she needed to grow.

And grow she has! Seven has learned sign language — and, as her mom puts it, how to get her way. 😄 Now that she’s walking, there’s no slowing her down. When she’s not on the move, you’ll find her rocking in her chair or admiring all of our DSPs’ fun nails. 💅

Our team has loved watching her come such a long way in her therapies. Madeleine Brass, QIDP, says it best:

“Seven is an incredible little girl! She is curious, independent, and determined. Every day she continues to amaze me with all that she is able to do… She’s a serious little girl with the best facial expressions! She will always brighten your day with her hugs, her smile, and spunky attitude. We are so blessed to care for her here.”

At Saint Joe’s, we see the person first — and Seven is truly one of a kind. Every new step, every sign, and every smile is a reminder that care makes more possible. Here’s to all the possibilities ahead of her! 💙

Feature Friday 🎉

We were proud to be part of this year’s Pediatric Complex Care Association (PCCA) Conference, right here in Cincinnati! 💙

Members of our team, including CEO Dan Connors and Registered Dietitian Sarah Vermilyea, were invited to speak with care providers from across the country on Culture in Healthcare and Diagnosing Malnutrition in Children with Impairments. 🎤

We also got to open our doors! We hosted a breakout session on our Main Campus, and 80 conference attendees came to tour Saint Joe’s and see our community in person. 🏡 Thank you to our residents and staff for being such wonderful hosts.

Thank you to Pediatric Complex Care Association for the invitation and for bringing this community to our hometown!

Wisdom Wednesday 💡 Did you know? Every year, one way Saint Joe’s celebrates our employees is with a family picnic! 🧺

This year’s picnic had a harvest theme, full of fall colors, cozy autumn vibes, and plenty of fun for staff and their families. 🍂 And the Cincinnati Circus brought the excitement, with smiles all around for kids and grown-ups alike! 🎪

Our team shows up with heart every day for the people we support. This picnic is one way we say thank you to them, and to the families who share them with us!💙

Mission Monday 🙌 A big thank you to the students from St. Xavier High School who recently volunteered with our Adult Day Program!

They jumped right in, shared plenty of smiles, and made a great day even better for our participants. 💙 We’re so grateful for young people who choose to show up for their community. Thank you for being part of what we do here!
