What a beautiful fall day to start the dahlia dig! Each row has around 250 dahlias. It may be small-scale compared to larger flower farms, but for one person, it’s a whole job!

Thankfully, I had a few helpers today. The goal is to have them all dug, divided, and stored before November 1!

What a great flower season it has been!

Each year, Brewer Blooms continues to grow, and that wouldn’t be possible without all of your support. Whether you’ve purchased flowers from the stand, signed up for a subscription, placed a special order, visited the flower fields, or liked and shared a post on social media, I appreciate every bit of it!

Our flower stand is officially closed for the season, but there are some new and exciting things happening behind the scenes. I can’t wait to share more with you soon!

Today is the LAST DAY for the flower stand!

Our Bloom Bar will be open today from 9:00 AM until dark. Stop by and grab a cup, fill it with some of our last blooms of the season.

I’m a flower farmer, but I think 10-year-old me would be pretty happy to know I still love doing art projects.

I loved art class as a kid. I even remember wanting to be an artist when I grew up. There’s just something about having an idea in your head, creating it with your hands, and watching it come to life.

Getting to work with flowers may not be crayons and paper, but it allows me to use those same creative skills.

Maybe that’s part of why I love flower farming so much. It’s another way of creating something from an idea and watching it grow into something beautiful.

If there’s something you’ve always enjoyed doing, don’t let getting older convince you that you have to outgrow it.

You’re never too old to do the things that make you happy.

We’ll have a Bloom Bar out at the flower stand Thursday–Saturday!

We’ll also have Blooming Pumpkins for $20! They’ll last well past Thanksgiving and make the perfect table centerpiece.
