Not just a moisturizer. πŸ’š

The oils used in abhyanga, Ayurvedic self-massage, are deeply penetrating compared with the modern moisturizers or serums you might find at a store. They can nourish every single layer of our tissues.

Have you tried abhyanga?

Follow for a simple self-care practice each week.

We are what we digest. πŸ’š

In Ayurveda, it's not only "we are what we eat." You can eat the healthiest spread of food, but if your body can't digest it, you can't absorb all those nutrients. That's why having your largest meal when your digestive fire is at its strongest matters.

When is your biggest meal of the day?

Follow for a simple Ayurveda tip each week.

Two spots to calm your mind. πŸ’š

When I'm doing a face massage, I like to focus on at least two areas that cool and calm the mind. The first is the third eye: a very gentle circular massage here is so calming to the system. The second is the temples.

Try it right now and notice what changes.

Follow for a simple reset each week.

The inner healer is within you. 🀍

Becoming aware of all the different ways we digest life gives us the opportunity to awaken the inner healer that is already inside of you, and inside of me. It is you.

Take one quiet breath. What are you digesting right now?

Oils can do more than moisturize. 🌿

Certain oils bring balance to certain doshas. Sesame oil is warming and nourishing and can ground a Vata imbalance. Coconut oil is cooling and can stabilize an excess of Pitta.

Which one sounds like what you need right now?

We get to choose. πŸŒ€

As humans living on Earth, we can decide to intentionally integrate. We have a choice in how what we take in becomes us, the future us we're always transforming into.

What are you choosing to take in this week?

Why you've heard "don't eat 2 to 3 hours before bed." πŸŒ™

It's the foundational reason: give yourself 2 or more hours between your last bite and sleep, and you're setting your body up to naturally cleanse and balance itself every night. Play with it and see what fits your life.

What time do you usually eat dinner? And what time do you typically sleep?

You are always digesting. πŸŒ€

Not only the food and liquids in your stomach and intestines, but everything you take in from this reality. Bringing awareness to that can be an invaluable superpower for humans on Earth.

What are you digesting today?
