Ladies, not knowing anything about your family's finances is NOT a flex! Marriage is a partnership, and God has called us to be good stewards of what He's entrusted to us. Work WITH your husband, not separately from him! ā¤ļø

Me every fall looking at my garden that somehow gets bigger and bigger every year. šŸ˜‚šŸŒ± But I just love it too much to stop!

šŸ˜‚ Can we just talk about the difference between husbands and wives leaving the house?!
When my husband heads out, it's:
🧢grab the hat
šŸ•¶ļø grab the sunglasses
🚪 and he's gone — not a care in the world!
Meanwhile, I'm over here like a one-woman circus act šŸŽŖšŸ¤”ā€” dropping bags, shoes, coats, diaper bags, snacks, sippy cups, children… along the way. šŸ˜…
By the time I finally make it to the car, I need a nap, a coffee, and maybe a prayer for patience. šŸ™
Motherhood and marriage sure keep us humble, don't they?
But even in the chaos, God's grace covers every trip out the door — and reminds us to laugh through it. ā¤ļø
Anybody else relate?! šŸ™‹ā€ā™€ļø

Working hard for a body that only my husband gets to see. šŸ˜‰ā¤ļø
It's kind of like having a fancy sports car tucked away under a cover. Just because the whole world doesn't get to see it doesn't mean it isn't worth taking care of! šŸ”„
I don't need to show off my body to the world to be proud of the hard work I'm putting into it.
I believe modesty and fitness can absolutely go hand in hand. I can work hard, build muscle, feel confident, and still choose to keep certain parts of myself reserved for my husband.
And ultimately, this body is a gift from God. Taking care of it is one way I can honor Him. I'm not working out for the world's attention. I'm working out to be strong, healthy, confident, and a good steward of what He's given me.
Not everything beautiful needs to be on display to be valuable. ā¤ļø
Who says you can't be modest AND fit?! šŸ’Ŗ

Got a child stuck in a negative attitude — in their actions AND their words? Try this: stop, drop, and give me three!
Drop the negative thought, then come up with three positive ones. Instead of "my brother's an idiot" → "I'm thankful for my brother, he's athletic, and I'm thankful we eat breakfast together."
Save this for the hard days, mama. You've got this!

I told my 13-year-old to get a cart when we walked into Walmart. She knew better šŸ˜‚
So she carried the 50-pound bag of cat food all the way back through the store herself.
Sometimes they have to learn the hard way!

Stop making excuses. Start taking care of the body God gave you. ā¤ļø

I can come up with a hundred reasons not to exercise.

I’m tired.
I have children who need me.
The house needs cleaned.
There’s laundry everywhere.
I didn’t sleep well.
I don’t have enough time.
I’ll start Monday.

And some days, those things are very real.

But I’ve learned that if I wait until life is calm, I have plenty of energy, and everything lines up perfectly…I probably won’t exercise at all. šŸ˜‚

Taking care of my body isn’t about vanity or trying to look like someone else. It’s about stewardship.

God gave me this body. I want to be strong enough to serve my family, keep up with my children, do the work He has called me to do, and Lord willing, stay active for many years to come.

Sometimes discipline means doing the thing even when I don’t feel like doing it.

I don’t need the perfect workout.
I don’t need an hour.
I don’t need to feel motivated.

I just need to stop making excuses and start.

ā€œWhatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.ā€ — Colossians 3:23

So this is your reminder—and mine:

Put on the shoes.
Move your body.
Thank God that you CAN.
And get it done. šŸ’Ŗā¤ļø

ā€œDo it anyways.ā€

This is a magical phrase in my constant self-talk.

I don’t feel like working out? Do it anyways.
I’m tired? Do it anyways.
I’m unmotivated? Do it anyways.
I’d rather make the easier choice? Do it anyways.

Because my feelings don’t get to determine my discipline.

I do it for my children now—because they’re watching the example I set.

I do it for my grandchildren later—because the choices I make today can impact generations I haven’t even met yet.

And most importantly, I do it to honor the Lord. God created this body, and I want to steward it well, with gratitude and discipline.

You don’t have to feel motivated to make the right choice.

Sometimes you just have to tell yourself:

DO IT ANYWAYS. šŸ™ŒšŸ¼

ā€œWhatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.ā€ — 1 Corinthians 10:31

10/17/2026

ā€œYour children are never going to learn if you bail them out constantly.ā€

And honestly? I think there’s a lot of truth in that.

God didn’t call us to remove every struggle from our children’s lives. Sometimes He uses those struggles to teach them perseverance, wisdom, responsibility, and faith.

So when our children are struggling, we don’t always need to rush in and fix it.

Let them think.
Let them try.
Let them struggle a little.
Let them find their own answers.

Today, one of mine got stuck in the dog run. šŸ˜‚ I could have immediately gone over and solved the problem—but I gave him space to figure it out.

Eventually, he really did need my help.

And that’s okay.

Giving our children space doesn’t mean abandoning them. It means trusting God enough to let them grow.

We can be there when they need us without taking every opportunity to learn away from them.

Our goal isn’t to raise children who always need us to fix things.

It’s to raise children who can think, problem-solve, persevere, seek wisdom, and ultimately learn to look to God first. ā¤ļø

Are you a ā€œlet them figure it outā€ mom, or do you struggle not to jump in? šŸ˜‚

When people ask me what curriculum I use for our homeschool…
I say Life.
