Massage can feel like a luxury when relaxing for an hour is the only goal.
Massage can be a PROFOUND part of your wellness plan when you can set goals with your therapist. Goals that can give you noticeable pain relief. Like not hurting when you pick up your kids, or have the ability to get up and down with ease. Your headaches are showing up less and less, your workout recovery is faster. There are so many benefits to massage when working with the right therapist to meet your goals.

Quick storytime📚

I still vividly remember how amazing, magical and exhausting becoming a first time mother was.
It was so surreal meeting my daughter for the first time and sharing that moment with my husband.
It was also physically, mentally and emotionally challenging. I was more tired than I had ever been, and my body was slow to recover.
I was so grateful for the friends and the family that showed up for me. One of my friends started a meal train and it was lovely having a home-cooked meal delivered the first few weeks. Family came to check on us and meet our newest member, and friends called to see how I was doing. It all meant so much.
With all of that support I still had postpartum anxiety. I write more about it in this blog if you want to check it out.
Massage was a big part of helping me calm my nervous system and feel like myself again. It's another reason why I'm so passionate about helping women through bodywork.

After I had my daughter, I was surprised by how hard the postpartum season hit me.

I was taught prenatal massage in school 14 years ago and I've had the honor of working with so many amazing mommas ever since. This year I decided to deepen my knowledge in how I can support women during the stress of family planning, learn new techniques to relieve the discomforts during pregnancy, and how to support women as they reclaim their bodies postpartum. I'm so proud to say that I am certified in advanced prenatal and excited to continue helping women through all the phases of motherhood. If you are somewhere on your journey in motherhood, I would love to help support you in any and all phases. 💜

I've been a little absent on here. My husband and I decided to paint our kitchen last month. 🎨
I'm so happy with the color, but oh my goodness did my shoulders and legs hurt for a while from going up and down a ladder and doing all the tiny details.
If you also did a big summer project I see you! Feel free to come and see me for some muscular relief;) I've already had two massages and two chiropractic appointments ☺️Also, complaining about the process and bragging about the outcome is always welcomed on my table;)

Happy International Joke Day! 😝😜

What’s a massage therapist’s favorite band?
The Rolling Stones! 🎶🎸 Hehehe

I do love hot stones! I also love a good joke.
Do you have a good and appropriate joke to share?
Leave it in the comments. You never know whose day you might brighten up with a good laugh💜

It is my mission as your massage therapist to help you unlock the full potential of your massage experience.

Receiving massage is a skill that can be enhanced by communicating your needs, connecting with your breathe, and making it a regular part of your wellness journey.
When you share your goals and preferences ( whether it's pressure, aromatherapy, focus area or comfort) it allows me to tailor the session for your best results.

💆‍♀️Last week, I had multiple clients make a point to request more time spent on their feet. I often hear the same about the scalp.
I LOVE that they let me know what they needed!

It's easy to bypass the feet and the scalp when we are trying to do more targeted work, but relaxing the nervous system is just as important as trigger point therapy for pain relief. Knowing what helps you finally sink into the table, whether it's more time, less pressure, hot stones, or starting with a foot massage, is how you can slowly let go and allow for deeper pressure with less soreness later.

As always, no one knows your body better than you, and your sessions are for you. Please don't ever hesitate to let me or any therapists know what you need. So you can get the most out of every session.
