Last Tuesday night, someone wanted to book with you. They didn’t call. They just quietly booked somewhere else instead.
That’s really what online booking does. It doesn’t create new patients, it catches the ones you were already losing: the evening caller, the person who’d rather not phone at all, the call that came in while your front desk was already slammed.
Before you add it, know what you’re actually losing. Check your missed-call rate and your after-hours inquiries first, because what you gain can only be as big as what was slipping away.
Then get two things right. Show only the slots you can truly hold, because a confirmation followed by a call to reschedule breaks trust fast. And pair it with first-visit reminders, since a booking made at 10pm doesn’t carry the same weight as an actual conversation with your team.
Judge it by total new patients, not booking clicks. That’s what turns a tool into real growth.
