The Center for Neurosomatic Studies (CNS) Neurosomatic Therapy & Massage Therapy School in Clearwater, FL. CNS teaches you how to assess and treat chronic pain at it's root—not just relax the body.

Clinical Neurosomatic Therapy training. Florida - Acredited massage therapy education. The originators of NST, Paul St. John and Randall Clark, have been educating professionals through seminars, scientific publications, and speaking events for years. The therapy methods have been so successful that there is a shortage of highly trained therapists to treat patients suffering from pain syndromes. CNS responds to this need by providing a comprehensive program that allows students to work while preparing for their new career through a combination of lecture, hands-on practice, clinical practice, and community outreach. The faculty members of CNS bring their expertise in NST and proven instruction methods together to provide a one-of-a-kind educational experience.

Learn to identify the root cause of pain instead of chasing symptoms, and have fun doing it!

A lot of bodywork education teaches you techniques. We teach you assessment.

The reason a Neurosomatic Therapist can walk into a session with someone who's tried everything and find something new isn't because the hands are magic — it's because the eyes and the questions come first. Standing posture. Range of motion. The muscle chain nobody else has traced. Only then does the treatment start.

That's the difference between chasing symptoms and treating the source. It's what we teach.

A migraine that starts in the neck. A knee that hurts because of the jaw. A lower back that never resolves because the issue is actually the hip flexors — or the diaphragm — or the shoulder from a fall three years ago.

This is the through-line of Neurosomatic Therapy: pain is a signal, and the signal doesn't always come from where you feel it. Learning to find the actual source is what our practitioners spend years mastering.

Follow along — we share this kind of thinking every week.

When C1/C2 shifts, the body adapts.

You may see:
• forward head posture
• shoulder elevation
• spinal compensation

The body is always trying to maintain balance in accordance with the Righting Reflex.

Muscles like the:
• Obilquus Capitus Sup/Inf
• Re**us Capitis Major
• Spenius Colli

can create rotational and positional changes in the upper cervical spine.

Over time, these patterns become habitual.

Instead of asking:

“How do we put it back?”

Ask:

What muscles or postural patterns are holding it there?

That’s where real change begins.

The atlas (C1) and axis (C2) sit at the top of the spine.

Small changes here can influence:
• head position
• balance
• muscle tone
• movement patterns

Most people think something is “out of place.”

But bones don’t just move on their own.

Muscles move bones.

So if C1 or C2 is misaligned…
something is pulling them out of place.

If this is rubs against what you’ve always thought—

Neck pain isn’t always a neck problem.

What if the issue isn’t where it hurts…
but how the body is adapting?

When there are imbalances in the body, often times the neck is the last place the body can correct for everything happening below.

If this made you pause, there’s a reason.
