🩺 On-Call Opportunities:
• Weekdays: 5 PM – 8 AM
• Weekends: 8 AM – 8 AM (24-hour shifts, Saturday and Sunday)
• Minimal shift requirements! Perfect for nurses looking to supplement their income.

What does hospice on-call involve?

Our on-call nurses provide after-hours support to hospice patients and families through telephone triage, symptom management, and in-person visits as needed. You'll play an important role in keeping patients comfortable and ensuring families feel supported when they need us most.

When a senior needs help, knowing who to call and where to turn can make all the difference.
That’s why we’re building relationships right here in Venus.

We want Venus PD to know they can call on Grand Hospice when they encounter a senior or family who needs additional support, resources, or guidance navigating senior healthcare.
And we want the seniors and families we serve to feel connected to and supported by the officers protecting their community.

Advocacy works both ways. It means connecting people with the right resources, speaking up for their needs, and making sure no senior or family feels alone.

Caring for someone with dementia can bring questions, changes, and moments that are difficult to navigate. It is a journey no family should have to walk alone.

Last week, our Co-Founder and Patient Advocate, Mariela, who is also a Certified Dementia Practitioner, was invited to join a local dementia support group as their guest speaker.

Instead of standing at the front of the room and giving a presentation…she pulled up a chair.

The group gathered in a circle for an open and intimate conversation where caregivers could share their experiences, ask questions, and learn from one another.

These are the moments we value most: meeting families where they are, sharing knowledge, listening to their stories, and helping them feel supported along the way.

Caring for our community goes far beyond the bedside.

Opal came to the office to get some schoolwork done and, despite having plenty of perfectly good places to sit, decided the supply room floor was the spot for spelling. 😂
