A mail carrier noticed that an older customer's mail had not been picked up and knew she had mobility issues. That observation led to a welfare check, and police found her unconscious but breathing, according to KYMA's report.
That mail carrier was the first person to help, before anyone entered the home.
Ordinary people often begin the chain of help by noticing something is wrong. Once responders reach a person who cannot answer, the next challenge can be information.
Scan If Hurt™ gives the person a scannable Safety ID linked to a person-controlled Personal Emergency Profile, creating an information bridge for selected context they chose in advance.

Two bystanders helped four people, including two children, back to shore after they struggled against the current at Sandy Neck Beach, according to The Boston Globe. Everyone was evaluated, and no injuries were reported.
Those bystanders were the first people on scene.
They solved the immediate problem in front of them. The next part of preparedness begins when a person moves from a stranger's help to professional evaluation.
If that person cannot answer, what selected emergency information can move with them?
Scan If Hurt™ gives a person a scannable Safety ID linked to a person-controlled Personal Emergency Profile, creating a chosen-information handoff for the moment after help begins.

A witness saw an 8-year-old autistic girl fall into the Hudson River in Troy and jumped in to keep her above water until responders could pull them to safety, according to the Times Union.
That witness was the first person on scene.
Finding or reaching a person is one challenge. Once contact happens, a different question can begin: if the person cannot communicate, what information can travel with them?
Scan If Hurt™ gives a person a scannable Safety ID connected to a person-controlled Personal Emergency Profile for that information handoff.
Credit belongs to the witness, police, fire and EMS who brought this child to safety.

Patch reported that a 77-year-old e-scooter rider died after a collision in Nockamixon Township.

A fatal crash should never be turned into a claim that one product would have changed the outcome.

The broader preparedness question remains worth asking for anyone using micromobility: if a severe emergency happens, what identification, emergency contact or other information have you chosen to make available?

Scan If Hurt™ provides one way to prepare that person-controlled information through a scannable Safety ID.

It does not prevent crashes or replace 911, EMS or medical care.

PEOPLE reported that a University of Utah student died after an electric-scooter accident during the student's first week on campus. The university has not publicly identified the student or released the cause of the accident.

There is no responsible basis to say a product would have changed that outcome.

For families sending young adults away from home, there is still a general preparedness question worth asking: does the student's emergency-information plan move with them?

Scan If Hurt™ lets an adult student choose emergency contacts and other information to connect to a scannable Safety ID.

It does not prevent accidents or replace campus safety, 911, EMS or medical care.

A fatal e-bike collision in Taft, California, is a reminder of how quickly a routine ride can become a severe emergency.

The most important discussion is prevention: road awareness, lawful operation and safer interaction between vehicles and riders.

There is also a separate preparedness question riders can answer before any trip: if I cannot speak after a crash, what information have I chosen to make available, and who should responders or helpers contact?

Scan If Hurt™ provides a scannable Safety ID connected to chosen emergency information.

It cannot prevent a collision or change an outcome, and nothing in the KGET report establishes that emergency information was missing in this case. It is simply one additional preparedness layer for the emergencies no one expects.

Hoodline reported that a 68-year-old man who was considered at risk was found safe after an overnight search in Palmdale.
A safe recovery is the outcome everyone wants.
For families and caregivers, there is also an important question to answer before someone ever becomes separated:
What information should stay with the person when the people who normally know them are no longer nearby?
Scan If Hurt™ gives a person a scannable Safety ID connected to a Personal Emergency Profile containing the information they or their caregiver choose to make available.
That can include identity, emergency contacts and selected emergency information—giving an unfamiliar person trying to help a way to quickly understand who they are helping and who should be contacted.
Preparation begins before separation happens.

CT Insider reported that West Haven has amended its ordinance to restrict powered e-bike use on the boardwalk and shoreline walking path.
As communities decide how e-bikes fit into shared spaces, riders can answer another question for themselves:
What emergency information should travel with me?
Scan If Hurt™ gives a rider a scannable Safety ID connected to identity, emergency contacts and selected emergency information chosen in advance.
That information can stay with the rider wherever they are permitted to ride.

A 13-year-old e-bike rider was taken to a hospital after an East Meadow collision, according to Daily Voice.
For parents, youth e-bike safety can start with a simple checklist: helmet, route, traffic rules, visibility — and an emergency-contact plan that goes with the rider.
Scan If Hurt™ lets a family connect chosen emergency contacts and information to a scannable Safety ID.
The story does not say information was missing in this incident. The point is preparation before the next ride, not a claim about this one.

FOX8 reported that an e-bike rider suffered life-threatening injuries in a Winston-Salem collision. Police said the rider was not wearing a helmet and that both the e-bike and car entered the intersection on red lights.
Those prevention lessons matter.
A different question begins after severe injury: if the person cannot answer, what emergency information have they chosen to make available?
Scan If Hurt™ is a communication backup through a scannable Safety ID. It does not replace a helmet, traffic laws, 911, EMS or medical care.
