I am still reflecting on the love and support surrounding the launch of How We Got Here: Race, Grief, and Faith.

Thank you to everyone who came out, supported the book, joined the conversation, shared your thoughts, and celebrated this moment with me. Every conversation, every smile, every question, and every person who took the time to be there mattered.

A special thank you to everyone who helped make the event possible, including the people who supported behind the scenes, helped create the space, and contributed to making the day what it was.

Writing this book was a long journey. Being able to finally share it with you in person made this chapter even more meaningful.

I am grateful for everyone who has been part of the journey so far, and I am looking forward to where the conversation goes next.

Why do we need to realign?

Danielle Price explains that realignment requires us to examine what we believe and be willing to question what we have accepted.

She shares that our brains are wired for defense and self preservation. When someone challenges something we strongly believe, our immediate response can be to reject it. But Danielle encourages us to pause, ask the question, look it up and see what happens.

She also connects realignment to the divine instructions, explaining that she had to be willing to look at what she had believed and determine whether it aligned with what she was reading.

For Danielle, realignment is about being willing to examine, learn and make changes when something does not line up.
