Becoming a pharmacy technician doesn't happen overnight! 💊💙
Many start as technicians-in-training, learning the ins and outs of pharmacy while studying to pass a certification exam and earn their credentials. And there's a LOT to learn!
From navigating complicated insurance issues and coordinating prescriptions to managing inventory, understanding medications, and caring for patients, **our technicians are absolutely essential to everything we do.** They're the problem-solvers, the multitaskers, and the people keeping a hundred moving pieces together every single day. A great pharmacy simply cannot function without great techs, and we're fortunate to have some of the BEST!
And as you can see from our pictures, we've got a little bit of everyone! Techs-in-training, certified techs, senior techs, Adam (a former tech who's now a pharmacy intern and student!), and Josh, our jack-of-all-trades!
Some are just beginning their pharmacy careers, while others have been part of Roden Smith for years. We love seeing them learn, grow, and take on new roles along the way.
Happy National Pharmacy Technician Day! There's a reason these folks have a day of their own. They carry enormous responsibility, work incredibly hard, and make it possible for our pharmacists to provide the kind of personal care we're known for.
