We're excited to share some great news about Dr. Julianna Papez — and reassure our community at the same time!

Dr. Julianna Papez, board‑certified OB/GYN, continues to care for patients right here at Cody Regional Health. While she has accepted an additional role outside our organization, there are absolutely no changes to her status, schedule, or availability for patients in Cody.

Dr. Papez remains committed to providing compassionate, comprehensive care for women at every stage of life — from adolescence through menopause and beyond. You’ll continue to find her at our Obstetrics & Gynecology Clinic in the Cathcart Health Center, 424 Yellowstone Avenue in Cody.

💜 If you’re one of her patients, nothing changes. Your trusted care with Dr. Papez continues right here at home.

Meet Hannah, RN đźš‘

Quick thinking. Constant learning. And never quite knowing what will come through the doors.

That’s part of what Hannah loves about being a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room at Cody Regional Health.

“I love the variety of cases we see and that no two days look the same. You truly never know what will come through the doors.”

Hannah has been part of the CRH team for two years, but her interest in healthcare started much earlier. Growing up with a mom who is a respiratory therapist, she remembers being fascinated by the stories her mom would share. Later, nursing school introduced her to critical care, and she found where she belonged.

Today, Hannah says one of the things that makes the CRH Trauma Team special is the trust team members place in one another.

“Being a critical access hospital necessitates a team that works exceedingly well together and can trust in each other’s clinical decision-making skills. The trauma team at CRH demonstrates this kind of teamwork. We truly care about the community and want to do the best for them.”

And when she isn’t in the ER? You might find Hannah running, hiking, cooking…or enjoying a good nap.

Her parting advice for the community is simple:

“Buckle up and wear a helmet!!!”

There’s more to your provider than the name on the white coat.

When she isn’t caring for patients, Dr. Valerie Baldes enjoys baking and spending time fishing with her family — interests that reflect the same connection to family and Wyoming life that many of her patients share.

In the clinic, she brings that personal approach to every visit, taking time to understand the person sitting across from her — not simply what brought them through the door.

Dr. Baldes, formerly Dr. Lengfelder, is accepting new patients at Cody Regional Health.

đź’™ Meet a member of our Cody Regional Health Orthopedics team: Greg Clark, DMSc, MPAS, PA-C!

Greg’s connection to the Big Horn Basin runs deep. Born in Powell and raised on a farm outside Lovell, he has spent his PA career caring for patients right here in Park County.

Orthopedics has been a significant part of Greg’s career, with experience in both the clinic and operating room. He has a particular interest in knee arthritis and helping patients understand both nonsurgical and surgical treatment options. In fact, Greg has even published on the topic in the Journal of the American Academy of Physician Associates.

But what matters most to Greg is the relationship he builds with each patient. He values shared decision-making and wants patients to leave feeling informed about their diagnosis, options and next steps.

For Greg, providing care in his own community makes that relationship even more meaningful.

“I enjoy providing care for patients who I may also see at church, at the grocery store or other places in the community.”

That's one reason we're so excited to have board-certified radiation oncologist Dr. Filip Troicki at the Big Horn Basin Cancer Center.

Having specialized radiation oncology services available locally gives patients another opportunity to receive advanced cancer care while remaining close to the people, routines and community that support them.

On October 1, Cody Regional Health will welcome our community to Thriving Locally: Your Guide to Rural Cancer Survivorship Services.

This free program is an opportunity to ask questions, connect with local providers and discover practical resources that can help support quality of life throughout cancer survivorship.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by and supported our bake sale! More than 200 egg rolls and crab rangoons sold out incredibly quickly, and we are so grateful for the support from our community.

Even better, all proceeds will support the upcoming Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Oct. 3!

When you're facing cancer, expertise matters. So does having a physician who will sit down, listen and answer your questions.

That's something Dr. Filip Troicki takes seriously.

His path to medicine began with a desire to make a more personal impact in people's lives, and that purpose continues to influence how he cares for patients today.

Dr. Troicki takes time to educate his patients, answer their questions and help ensure they feel heard, respected and supported throughout treatment.

Because excellent cancer care isn't only about treating a disease.

It's about caring for the person experiencing it.

We're grateful to have Dr. Troicki bringing that philosophy to the Big Horn Basin Cancer Center.
