I think about this more than you'd expect.
When someone leaves our spa and a friend asks, "How was it?" — what do I want them to say?
"The best place ever."
"I felt really at home."
"They took really good care of me."
"They know what they're doing."
"They think outside the box."
"They have something for everybody."
"They listen to your needs."
That's the list. That's what I'm working toward every single day.
And here's what I never, ever want someone to say:
"They mistreated me."
"They overcharged me."
"They were pushy."
"All they care about is money."
If a client ever said those words about us, I would take it personally. Because this business isn't separate from who I am. It is who I am.
Every treatment plan, every consultation, every interaction — I hold it to the standard of "would I be proud if someone said this about us out loud?"
If the answer is yes, we did our job. If the answer is no, we have work to do.
Most days, I think the answer is yes.
