Unpopular opinion: There is no such thing as a “good” or “bad” cue.

A cue is only ever as good as your perception of it.

What many fail to realize is that a cue is completely dependent on individual structure, mechanics, and the way someone processes information.

So if you can’t seem to get the hang of a movement, don’t assume you’re automatically bad at it. It might just not be the cue for YOU.

What gives one of my clients perfect positioning might force another into a mechanical breakdown that stalls their progress entirely.

So yes, all cues DO work.
But not all cues work for everyone.

My cues ≠ your cues.

You know I’m all for a good physique transformation, but we tend to think of muscle as only something we gain or lose based on our current aesthetic or performance goals.

Forgetting that in reality, muscle is a form of physiological reserve.

We naturally lose muscle mass and strength with age. The more strength, lean mass, mobility, and physical capacity you build earlier in life, the more reserve you have to draw from later.

Building a body that is not only aesthetically strong, but
ALSO functionally capable and biologically resilient should be the ultimate goal.

This is your sign to choose hip mobility over hip replacements.
Your future self is counting on you. 👵🏼

When’s the last time you actually thought about your feet during training? Probably never. That might be the problem.

Your feet determine your balance, stability, positioning, and proprioception. If the foundation is off, everything above it has to compensate.

When someone’s technique breaks down, knees cave, balance is off, or they’re dealing with pain or irritation, the first thing I check is how they’re connecting with the ground. I can usually tell within one rep if they’re disconnected.

Sometimes the answer isn’t another mobility drill, new cue, or program change. It’s what’s happening at the root.

Strong movement starts with your feet.

Do you ever train barefoot?
If not, try this in your next training session, then report back. 🫡

If your training still feels off, form isn’t clicking, or progress has stalled: Form Checks + Private Strategy Sessions are available via the link in my bio.
