Let's Meet The Artist: Tamara Ryan Brody
🎨
My title for the October show is: HeartSpeaks: Embracing Creativity to Soothe the Hurting Heart.
🎨
Tamara Ryan Brody began exploring the ability for creative expression to heal and soothe her wounded heart at the age of 48. She had stumbled on a process called “SoulCollage®” and became a facilitator in 2008. Since then she has let her heart inform her journey through the ups and downs of her lived experiences-health and relationship challenges, loss, transition, and enduring the pain, chaos, and divisiveness of a chaotic world. She frequently senses an emotion or situation that needs exploring through intuitive creative exploration. She uses a variety of materials including natural elements, found objects, jewelry, fabrics, yarns, clay and ephemera as well as paint and paper. Her intention is not to create “fine art” that is commercial and appeals to many, but to speak her truth and honor her journey.
