Def did NOT SEE this kinda celiac research on my 2026 bingo card 🤯 WHAT you should know 👇👇

A new real-world study from the tested 98 naturally gluten-free fries or tortilla chips cooked in shared fryers across 14 U.S. states. And the results honestly SHOCKED me. 😳 Because:

🍟 93.9% (92/98) of samples contained less than 20 ppm of gluten.

⚠️ 6 samples exceeded 20 ppm, and ALL were french fries!

🛢️ Oil changes mattered! None of the 39 samples from fryers with daily oil replacement exceeded 20 ppm — versus 4 of 35 from fryers with weekly oil replacement.

BUT here’s the important part: this study does NOT mean all shared fryers are safe for people with celiac‼️

Instead, the researchers hope this simply provides more info for EVERY CELIAC to make their own educated choice. 🙏

Cuz not everyone has the luxury of access to dedicated fryers. 🥺 And if the options are going hungry, eating straight-up gluten…or getting something from a shared fryer that changes its oil daily…that *may* be a better choice for some celiacs. 🤷‍♀️

As always, YOU DO YOU & eat what YOU are comfortable with‼️ And my main goal with this video was to open up DISCUSSION on this new research. 🫶

So I’d love to hear your thoughts 🍟👇 Personally, I’m sticking to dedicated fryers until more research is done…but I’m excited that this IS promising! 🙏

Who else has learned to not trust “gluten free” homemade treats the hard way?! 😭🙋‍♀️

We’re attending a wedding soon and the bride was SO sweet to offer to bake a gluten free dessert for me since I wouldn’t be able to eat the cake! 🥹❤️

BUT as someone who’s gotten sick this way before, I’m actually MORE EXCITED to attend knowing that I can trust my food & not have to worry. 🙏

And sometimes the most thoughtful way to include a celiac is simply letting us bring our own safe food without making it awkward. 🥲

Fellow celiacs: Would you accept her offer or bring your own dessert?! 👇

What’s the HIGHEST gluten-free up charge you’ve ever paid?! 😳 Or is this why you don’t order “GF swaps” at restaurants? 💰😩

This scene from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives had me LOLing. Cuz I knew too well exactly what +5 means as a celiac. 😅🤣

Did you know there are multiple types of celiac disease⁉️ Or do you have classical, atypical, silent or another type of celiac? 🤔

I had mostly classical symptoms at first, but ended up having “non responsive celiac disease,” where I continued having symptoms 6-12 months after going gluten free. A feeding tube ended up saving my life after I was hospitalized for malnutrition at 83lbs at age 18. 😰

So if you don’t start feeling better after 6 months — 1 year of going gluten free, please follow up with your doctor to rule out any other risks or complications! 🫶

And we need MORE CELIAC AWARENESS in the common public + with doctors that atypical celiac is actually MORE COMMON than classic celiac these days‼️ So we NEED celiac to be screened for more often!

What were/are your main celiac symptoms or how was your celiac diagnosis journey? Would love to hear 👇

Who else has been glutened by any of these sneaky sushi ingredients? 😨🙋‍♀️

Or who do YOU trust to bring you celiac safe takeout when you’re busy or sick? 🤔🥹

Sometimes the sweetest act of love isn’t even gluten free food. It’s having someone who cares about you enough to do ALL the questions & research so you can just EAT and feel taken care of. 🙏

Which of these classic gluteny treats do you miss most — or what’s another I missed? 🤔🤔

Only reason I didn’t mention Goldfish or Ritz is because both are COMING this year and next‼️ 🥳🥳

UNPOPULAR OPINION: If you’re gonna SAY “gluten allergy,” plzzzz don’t turn around and EAT GLUTEN 😭

I’m all for people avoiding gluten if it truly makes them feel better — or if they just prefer it (tho tbh I’ll never understand that 😅🤣).

BUT when someone says “allergy” and then casually eats gluten anyway, it can make it HARDER for those of us with celiac disease or wheat allergies to be taken seriously. 🥲 Not to mention making restaurant workers, caterers & more do extra work they didn’t need to! 😭

What do you say when eating out? Allergy, preference or something else? 👇
