💀 Wristopher is officially on the move again!

With his knee brace in place and crutches helping him get around safely, he’s moving into the next phase of his care.

First, a quick stop at the Columbia Orthopaedic Group on-site pharmacy to pick up what he needs for recovery. Then it’s time to get to work in physical therapy, rebuilding strength, movement, and confidence after his injury.

But Wristopher has one big goal in mind. 🎃

He wants to be back on both feet in time for the Columbia Orthopaedic Group Trunk or Treat on October 31!

He's putting in the work, but will the docs give him the all-clear?

Stay tuned! 💀

Back and neck pain can make everyday movement, work, exercise, and sleep more difficult. Dr. Tyler J. Jenkins helps patients understand the cause of their symptoms and build a treatment plan based on their specific condition, goals, and lifestyle.

As a fellowship-trained, board-certified spine surgeon, Dr. Jenkins specializes in the comprehensive treatment of spinal disorders, with particular expertise in minimally invasive spine surgery, motion-sparing procedures, scoliosis, and revision surgery. He also emphasizes nonsurgical care whenever appropriate.

Dr. Jenkins believes the best spine care combines evidence-based medicine with listening closely to each patient. Many spinal conditions can be managed without surgery through options such as injections, medications, exercise, and other conservative treatments. When surgery is necessary, his focus is on choosing the right procedure for the individual patient.

The diagnosis is in. Now it’s time to start treatment.

For Wristopher, that means getting fitted for a knee brace to help protect the injured knee while it heals.

This is where the care journey shifts from figuring out what’s wrong to putting the right plan in place and helping the patient safely move forward.

The brace is on. The recovery plan has started.
CHECK-IN ✓ → DIAGNOSIS ✓ → TREATMENT → RECOVERY

🎃 Follow Wristopher through the rest of his recovery as we count down to the Columbia Orthopaedic Group Trunk or Treat on October 31 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Community is more than where we work. It’s where we live, raise our families, and support one another.

That’s why Columbia Orthopaedic Group launched Community Connections, a quarterly effort that gives our team an intentional way to support organizations making a difference across Mid-Missouri.

For this Community Connection, our employees collected much-needed supplies for the Central Missouri Humane Society, including dog and cat food, treats, paper towels, enrichment items, and more.

Dr. Bus Tarbox joined our team to deliver those donations and visit with Michelle Casey from the Central Missouri Humane Society about the work they’re doing, the challenges they face, and the many ways our community can help.

A big thank you to our employees who donated and to the Central Missouri Humane Society team for everything they do for animals throughout our community.

We look forward to continuing to find meaningful ways to support the community that has supported Columbia Orthopaedic Group for more than 60 years.

Waiting for answers can feel a little scary.

Especially when you’re trying to figure out what comes next after an injury.
The Skelly family is officially waiting on the diagnosis, but fortunately they’re not navigating it alone.

The goal is simple: get a clear answer, understand the next step, and keep moving forward.

We’ll find out what the diagnosis means next.

🎃 And yes, this whole journey is leading up to the Columbia Orthopaedic Group Trunk or Treat on October 31 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

We’re incredibly proud to share that The Surgical Center at Columbia Orthopaedic Group has once again been recognized by Newsweek as one of America’s Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers for 2027.

This marks another national recognition for a team that continues to set an incredibly high standard for surgical care right here in Mid-Missouri.

Awards like this reflect the physicians, nurses, surgical teams, staff, and countless people behind the scenes who show up every day focused on providing an exceptional experience for our patients.

Congratulations to the entire Surgical Center at Columbia Orthopaedic Group team. We couldn’t be prouder.

America’s Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers 2027. Another reason to be proud of the care being delivered right here in Columbia, Missouri.

He made it through check-in. Now it’s time to figure out what’s actually going on. 💀

Next stop: diagnosis.

After the game-winning touchdown and not-so-successful celebration, he headed in for X-rays to get a clearer look at the injury.

At Columbia Orthopaedic Group, imaging can be part of the same care journey, helping patients move from evaluation to answers and then into the right treatment plan.

We’re getting closer to finding out whether he’ll be back on his feet in time for Halloween.

But first, this is your last chance to vote for his name. Choose your favorite:
