DSACO is thrilled to continue our Adopt-A-Family Program this holiday season!

Everyone deserves to experience the joy of the holiday season, and DSACO is providing a way to make sure we are all included. Whether you need a little help this time of year or have the means to provide assistance, you can participate in making the season a little brighter for everyone.

In 2025, donors and local community organizations provided gifts, handmade blankets, basic need items and gift cards to 100 people with Down syndrome and their families. DSACO families in our service area who are requesting assistance for the 2026 season are welcome to apply beginning Sunday, November 1. The deadline to apply is Thursday, November 12.

Visit https://dsaco.net/adoptafamily/ for more details about the application process and opportunities to partner with us as we spread holiday cheer!

We're making an impact!

This Down Syndrome Awareness Month we're excited to share ways that DSACO is making an impact - as we work to support families, promote community involvement, and encourage a lifetime of opportunities for people with Down syndrome. 💙💛

In 2025:
- DSACO added 2 NEW counties to our service area! We welcomed Pike and Scioto County to the DSACO family, bringing us to a total of 25 counties served in central and southern Ohio.

- We had a total of 560 people volunteer with us in various ways throughout 2025. Wow! We could not do the incredible things that we do without each and every one of them.

- We hosted 12 different outreach events helping us to connect with our diverse families and providing opportunities for them to connect to each other.

We're proud of the impact we've made in 2025 and look forward to making an even bigger impact through DSACO programming and resources as we continue moving Forward Together!

DSACO Little Buddies families, we want to hear from you!

Join DSACO for a special conversation about what it is like raising a young child with a disability in Ohio on Monday, November 2 from 6 - 7:30 PM at the Westerville Community Center.

As part of ElevateDD's statewide listening work, we are partnering with Groundwork Ohio to hear directly from families of children with Down syndrome age 5 and under. We want to learn what is going well, where families are running into challenges, how easy or difficult it is to find and navigate services and resources, and what you hope for your child and family in the years ahead.

Pizza will be provided, and participating families will receive a stipend from Groundwork Ohio in appreciation for their time and perspective. Please note that child care is not being offered for this listening session.

Please visit https://www.dsaco.net/events/littlebuddieslisteningsession/ to register by October 28.
