Letโs make Thursday feel different from the usual meridian feature by leaning into what makes Triple Heater genuinely interesting.
The meridian that doesnโt have an organ.
The Triple Heater Meridian is one of the most fascinating pathways in Traditional Chinese Medicine because, unlike the Lung, Heart, Liver, or Kidney systems, it is not tied to one single physical organ.
Instead, the Triple Heater is traditionally associated with regulation and communication throughout the body - particularly temperature, fluid movement, circulation between body regions, and the way the upper, middle, and lower portions of the body work together.
That makes it an interesting meridian to think about when looking at things like:
- temperature regulation
- fluid movement
- tension through the lateral body
- neck and shoulder connection
- overall regulation
- how different regions of the body communicate and coordinate
The Triple Heater Meridian travels along the outside of the forelimb and continues toward the shoulder, neck, and head, which is one reason points along this pathway can have applications that seem surprisingly far away from where the point itself is located.
This is exactly why learning meridians changes the way you look at acupressure. You stop seeing points as isolated dots and start understanding the pathway connecting them.
If you enjoy learning the meridians and want something you can actually reference while studying or working, we have both Equine and Canine Meridian Practitioner Guides available. They walk through each meridian, pathway, traditional functions, signs of imbalance, and include high-quality meridian diagrams.
Comment MERIDIAN and weโll send you the info to both guides.
