I launched a mobile concierge physical therapy practice in Cleveland, Ohio. Starting this business during the pandemic, especially when my vestibular patients with concussion were not allowed to be seen in standard clinical settings, allowed me to redefine patient care. When faced with the choice between a layoff or an innovative model, I chose to serve my community directly in their homes. Now here I am, in Washington DC as honorary of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce top 100 small businesses in America. Reflecting on our journey and the trust of our patient community. on the 6 year anniversary has hit close to home. 🏡✨🧴
Looking back, the most pivotal moment was at the peak of the pandemic. Lockdowns were in place, and major hospitals were furloughing staff. Crucially, my vertigo concussion patients, who needed consistent care, were not permitted in traditional clinical settings.
I was given a definitive choice: stay status quo during a layoff, or pave a new path to serve.
I chose to pioneer this mobile, concierge model. I chose to bring personalized, specialized physical therapy directly to my patients when they were most isolated.
The relationships I have built here are the heartbeat of Custom Care Rehab. I’ve watched patients regain their balance, reclaim their lives, and support this practice in ways I will never forget.
Every office session, every home visit, every “Thank you for finding a way” I carry that with me.
