A flower may remind us of someone we love, bring a forgotten moment into focus, or invite us to see something in a new way.

Whether we experience this as intuition, symbolism, or the simple power of memory, we can pause and listen to what arises.

What might a flower have to share with you today?

Not every kind of nourishment comes from something we can touch or taste.

Sometimes, remembering a loved one, a meaningful moment, or a time when we felt deeply connected can bring comfort and perspective.

Some places seem to hold a little piece of our hearts.
- A garden where we once played.
- A tree we sat beneath during a difficult season
- A patch of wildflowers we discovered on a walk

When we return, the memories come rushing back.

Is there a place in nature that holds a special meaning for you?

Have you ever encountered a flower and suddenly found yourself remembering a person, a place, or a moment from long ago?

Sometimes, a single bloom can open a doorway to memories we didn't know were waiting.

Yesterday I took a hike at our local nature center and came across the witch hazel trees in full bloom. This is an essence Ive wanted to make for a long time, but havent been able to catch these trees blooming. These were Hamamelis virginiana, which bloom in Autumn. Some witch hazel bloom in winter, too.

If youd like to learn more about flower essences, let me know! It's one of my herbal passions, and Ive been making them for over 10 years (and have over 100 in my personal collection).

Before Monday's gathering, take a moment to notice what resources you've been cultivating this year—skills, relationships, habits, or knowledge.

What is one resource you're grateful to have?

Resilience isn't about never struggling. It's about having resources to draw upon when challenges arise.

What helps you stay grounded during difficult seasons?

Leaf blessing

Today I did a Leaf Blessing while on a hike at our local nature center. It’s a simple act you can do to both release something and to welcome something in. I chose to do both today, as it’s the New Moon, and Double Ten day (10/10/26)

1. Find a leaf. (You’ll also need a felt-tip pen).
2. Think about what you want to release or to welcome in.
3. With the pen, write the word, or a short sentence on the leaf.
4. Hold the leaf in your hands and offer silent gratitude for the lessons learned.
5. Release the leaf back into nature – under a tree, in a stream… anywhere it feels right.
6. Walk away & let it go. You don’t need to revisit it.
