We all know it takes two to tango, but even though males contribute half the genetics of a pregnancy, they are too often left out of the picture. This is especially true when it comes to studies on miscarriage and recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL).

If you’ve been in for an adjustment lately, walked through the kitchen, and wondered why there’s a growing pile of squash on the counter… 😂

They’re from our garden!

The little tan ones are Seminole pumpkins, and the ridiculously long ones are tromboncino squash, both relatives of butternut squash.

They’re hanging out on the counter to cure, which hardens up the skin and lets us store them for months and eat from the garden well into the winter.

And somehow we still have more growing outside.

P.S. Garden tours are included with your adjustment. You just have to ask. 🌱😂

We hear this one more often than you might think.

Yes, Dr. Knowlton D.C. specializes in preconception, pregnancy, postpartum, and pediatric chiropractic care. 🤰👶

But specializing in pregnancy does not mean we hand you a discharge letter as soon as your baby is born. 😂

In fact, postpartum is one of the most important times to continue care. Your body just spent nine months growing a human and then, one way or another, got that human out. Now you're healing, sleeping in questionable positions, carrying a car seat, feeding a baby at all hours, and using your nervous system to help regulate a brand-new little person.

We want to take care of you through all of it.

And yes, we see spouses, significant others, dads, older kids, and whole families too!

Pregnancy and pediatric chiropractic may be our specialty, but if you're part of the Empower Wellness family, you don't age out, graduate, or get dropped from care just because the baby arrived. 💚

Thank you to Corpus Christi Birth Center for inviting us to speak! We had the opportunity to present a two-part discussion focused on supporting families during pregnancy and early parenthood.

Dr. Kristin Knowlton DC shared how chiropractic care can help support both moms and babies throughout pregnancy and childhood, while Sean discussed the important role nutrition plays during the perinatal period.
