🚑 Meet the Team Monday: Dixie Harmon
Dixie serves as a Paramedic and Captain with CCEMS and has been part of the team for more than 43 years — an incredible amount of time dedicated to serving our community.

A few fun facts about Dixie: she used to do taxidermy and even worked at McMickey’s Bar. If she had a completely free day, she’d spend it taking her 91-year-old mother on a drive.

When she’s not working, Dixie enjoys kayaking, vacations, and being around the water — all things she could happily talk about for hours.

We’re grateful for Dixie’s decades of service, experience, and commitment to CCEMS and Coshocton County. 💙🚑

🦌Hunting season is here & CCEMS wants to remind everyone using a tree stand to harness up and stay tied off.

Falls from tree stands can cause serious injuries, and we respond to these calls every hunting season. Use a properly fitted full-body harness, stay connected from the time you leave the ground until you’re back down, and take your time climbing.
A successful hunt starts with making it home safely.

A full day at the County Fair can mean lots of walking, warm weather & plenty of activity — so don’t forget to stay hydrated! 💧🎡

Watch for signs of dehydration, including thirst, dry mouth, tiredness, dizziness, or confusion. Children and older adults can be especially vulnerable, and thirst alone isn’t always a reliable warning sign.

If you notice mild signs of dehydration, take a break in a cooler area and begin replacing fluids. Water is a great choice, and fluids containing electrolytes may also be helpful after significant sweating. Severe dehydration — including confusion, extreme weakness, or difficulty responding normally — needs prompt medical attention.

Drink regularly, take breaks, and keep an eye on those around you so everyone can enjoy a safe day at the fair! 🚑💙

Rolling in and ready to serve. 🚑🤠
Our CCEMS supervisor cruiser & ambulance pulled up to the rodeo last night at the Coshocton County Fair, keeping crews close and ready if needed while everyone enjoyed the action.

We’re proud to be there for our community — at the fair, on the road, and everywhere in between.

🎨🚑 Our CCEMS Coloring Contest winners have been selected! The winning artwork will be displayed in the Art Hall at the Coshocton County Fair, and parents are being notified.

We can’t wait to take each winner on their morning ride to school in a CCEMS ambulance! 🚑✨

Thank you to our community for the amazing participation and to our local schools for helping make this such a fun experience for the kids. It truly means a lot to us.

For privacy, the names of the children will not be released publicly.
