Swadhyaya (svah-DHYAH-yah) — self-study. Not performing, not fixing. Just knowing who you are when no one's watching.
I recently got away and had real time with my own thoughts, a reminder of why I do this work at all. There's a poem by Naomi Shihab Nye, "Famous," that's been on my mind since. One line in particular: "The idea you carry close to your bosom is famous to your bosom." She flips our whole idea of fame: true fame isn't about an audience. It's quiet, deep connection.
That's how I try to show up here too. Not a famous Instagram yogi, not an untouchable guru, your guide on the side, walking this with you. And I couldn't do any of it without Steve, our teachers, and this whole community.
This week: try "Gratitude as a Compass" — type Gratitude Compass in the comments and we'll send you a link to one of our guided yoga nidra videos
Make it a GREAT day on PURPOSE!
What quiet thing are you most grateful for today?
