Can you spot the Poison Ivy??

While this will vary with latitude and weather conditions, poison ivy plants are typically the first plants to turn colors in the fall.

All of the other plants in the ecosystem will still be green, while the poison ivy has already turned bright yellow, orange, red, or purple.

If your property has woods on it, this is an easy time of the year to locate where the poison ivy is growing.

Poison Oak + Poison Ivy Hybrid!!!!!

Based on the notes left by world famous botanist William Gillis, we traveled up the Columbia River Gorge to find the site he first discovered in the 1960's where plants that are Poison Oak - Poison Ivy Hybrids grow. This small stretch of the Gorge between the Dalles, OR, Hood River, OR and Lyle WA is the only area in America where these plants can be found!!!
