What if we just… supported the body’s natural recovery process? ✨

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) creates an environment designed to support the body’s natural healing and recovery processes. Whether you’re focused on recovery, wellness, or simply giving your body a little extra support, sometimes the best thing we can do is create the space for our bodies to do what they already know how to do.

Finishing cancer treatment can feel like closing an incredibly difficult chapter. But for some survivors, radiation can leave healthy tissue with lasting damage that doesn't become apparent until months or even years later.

Our latest article explains why these delayed radiation injuries occur, what reduced blood flow and oxygen have to do with them, and how hyperbaric oxygen therapy can help support damaged tissue and the development of new blood vessels.

Learn how hyperbaric oxygen therapy for radiation injury can support damaged tissue, improve oxygen delivery, and help the body heal after radiation treatment.

🧠 This brain scan shows a clear increase in cerebral blood flow after hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT).

In a study of 63 healthy adults, participants received HBOT for 2 hours a day, 5 days a week, over 3 months. MRI scans showed improved brain perfusion, and cognitive testing confirmed enhanced function.

A wound that isn’t healing as expected may be telling you something. 🩹

Healing requires more than time. Your body needs oxygen, circulation, nutrients, and the right environment to repair damaged tissue.

So why do some wounds heal slowly—and what role can oxygen play?

We explore the answers in our latest blog, including how hyperbaric oxygen therapy may support the healing process for certain wound-related conditions.

3 signs you may benefit from Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy.

The first is if healing is taking longer than expected. If you've been dealing with a wound or injury that isn't healing the way it should, your body may benefit from additional oxygen support to help speed up the healing process.

The second is if you want to support your body's natural healing process. You know your body can do it, but it may just need a little extra support that you can use alongside other conventional methods. By delivering oxygen under increased pressure, HBOT helps increase the amount of oxygen your blood can carry, supporting your body's natural healing mechanisms.

And lastly, if you've tried other treatments but still aren't seeing the progress you were hoping for. Sometimes your body just needs a different approach to help support recovery. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is often used alongside other treatments to give your body the oxygen it needs to heal more effectively.

If you're wondering whether HBOT could be right for you, we offer free consultations. Give us a call or visit our website to fill out our contact form, and we'd be happy to answer your questions and help you determine if Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is a good fit for you.

This , we're recognizing the importance of exploring innovative therapies that may help support brain health.

Research suggests Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) may help support brain health by increasing oxygen delivery to the brain, improving blood flow, and reducing inflammation. While HBOT is not a cure, ongoing studies continue to explore its potential to support cognitive function and quality of life.

At Baromedical Associates, we're committed to providing personalized care and staying at the forefront of innovative therapies.

The *actually helpful* advice I wish someone had given me to prepare for my HBOT treatment…

1ļøāƒ£ Your ears will pop at the beginning and end, so clear your ears before you feel discomfort AND drink plenty of water before to lessen the discomfort

2ļøāƒ£ You can’t bring your phone in the chamber, so ask what streaming services they have, so you can come prepared with a show in mind

3ļøāƒ£ Bring socks to wear because your blood is redirected toward healing tissues, which can make your hands and feet cold

Traumatic brain injuries (TBI) involve what is essentially a bruise.

Inflammation develops around this injury over hours to days, and since the brain’s swelling is limited by the skull, pressure is increased in the area. The pressure reduces blood flow and damages a larger area of cortex than was affected by the initial injury.

Neurons can be injured, and won’t be able to transmit neuronal impulses, but they can survive indefinitely, in a stunned state.

When the condition stabilizes and blood flow returns, it is often not enough to restore these neurons. By imbuing the blood with additional oxygen, HBOT allows more oxygen to travel to the injured, oxygen starved tissues in the brain, helping to repair the damage, while simultaneously reducing the inflammation šŸ§ ā¤ļøā€šŸ©¹

Baromedical Associates LLC explains how Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy supports traumatic brain injury recovery by enhancing oxygen flow and healing.
