For cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy, hair loss has traditionally been considered an inevitable side effect. For many patients, the prospect of losing their hair is more than just a matter of vanity. It’s an unwelcome reminder of their disease for the patient and their families – one that can negatively impact self-image, confidence and an overall sense of well-being. The FDA-cleared DigniCap Scalp Cooling System is indicated to reduce the likelihood of chemotherapy-induced alopecia in cancer patients with solid tumors.

It's Breast Cancer Awareness Month 👇

Throughout this month, we honour the strength, resilience and courage of everyone affected by breast cancer.

For many people undergoing chemotherapy, hair loss can be one of the most difficult side effects to navigate. Through scalp cooling, we're proud to help patients retain that sense of self and keep their confidence.

Cancer treatment can impact more than physical health 👇

This World Mental Health Day, we're highlighting the importance of emotional wellbeing and the value of connecting with others who understand the challenges of treatment.

No one should have to go through chemotherapy, or scalp cooling, alone. That's why we've created a Facebook community where patients can connect, share experiences and support one another throughout their treatment journey.

When will my hair start growing back? 💙

It's one of the questions patients ask most often.

Many people see regrowth within 12-16 weeks of completing chemotherapy, though everyone's experience is different.

🗣️ “It made me feel like I could control who treated me like I had cancer.”

When Joelle was diagnosed with breast cancer, she knew chemotherapy was part of the plan, but losing her hair wasn’t.

After learning about scalp cooling through her oncologist at UCSF, she chose DigniCap to hold on to a part of her identity. With preparation and determination, she made it work.

Through 12 weeks of treatment, Joelle kept most of her hair and a sense of normalcy. She could go out, travel, work out, and decide for herself who knew what she was going through.

For Joelle, it wasn’t just about hair. It was about feeling like herself.

“It’s definitely worth a try… it really can take away one of the more visible and upsetting parts of chemotherapy.”

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 💗

Breast cancer impacts millions of lives around the world, but no two experiences are ever the same.

For some, it is a recent diagnosis. For others, it is treatment, recovery, supporting a loved one, or remembering a journey that has shaped their life.

This month is an opportunity to raise awareness, encourage conversations, and recognise the strength of the global breast cancer community.

Raising awareness starts with understanding your own health. This October, take time to familiarise yourself with the signs and symptoms of breast cancer and speak to a healthcare professional if you have any concerns.

More patients. Greater access. Meaningful progress. 👏

California has signed AB 1682 into law, establishing insurance coverage requirements for FDA-cleared scalp cooling.

As the largest state to enact scalp cooling coverage legislation to date, this marks an important step towards reducing financial barriers and helping more patients access scalp cooling during chemotherapy.

This legislation is effective January 1, 2027

Chemo-induced hair loss is no longer inevitable. Scalp cooling with DigniCap can help protect hair follicles, minimizing hair loss. When a patient’s scalp is cooled, less of the chemo agent reaches the hair follicles, significantly reducing damage to the hair.

New evidence from Uruguay adds to the growing body of research supporting scalp cooling during chemotherapy.

In this observational study of 137 patients with early breast cancer, 86.3% of evaluable patients achieved hair loss of 50% or less while using the DigniCap scalp cooling system.

Researchers also reported high treatment completion rates and a favourable safety profile.
