Keratoconus is a progressive condition that causes the cornea to thin and curve into a cone shape. This leads to blurred, ghosted, or distorted vision that's often worse in low light or bright conditions. Common signs include halos around lights, glare, light sensitivity, poor night vision, and frequent changes in your prescription. Genetics, chronic eye rubbing, and allergies can all play a role. There's no cure, but early detection makes a big difference. We use advanced imaging like corneal topography and Pentacam tomography to catch it early. From there, we build a treatment plan around custom scleral, rigid gas-permeable, or hybrid lenses. Schedule your exam today.
