THE CHRONICLES OF MY LOVE LIFE

✨ Episode 3: Mr. Electrician

So… we had been dating for a little while, and one day we went back to his place.

I went to use the bathroom.

For #2. šŸ’©

And when I tell you that toilet WOULD NOT FLUSH…

I was mortified.

I’m talking about that special kind of dating embarrassment where you’re already mentally planning your escape route and wondering if you can ever show your face again. šŸ˜‚

But this man?

Walked right out of the bathroom.

Went into the kitchen.

Grabbed a plastic grocery bag.

And FISHED. THE. šŸ’©. OUT. OF. THE. TOILET.

I. WAS. HORRIFIED. 🤣

But you know what?

Looking back, there was something I actually really admired about that moment:

Fearlessness.

He didn’t panic.
He didn’t make me feel ashamed.
He didn’t stand there worrying about how disgusting or embarrassing the situation was.

He just handled it.

And honestly, there’s something incredibly attractive about a person who can face the messy, uncomfortable, awkward parts of life without running from them.

Because relationships aren’t always romantic dinners and butterflies.

Sometimes they’re s**t. Literally. šŸ˜‚

And on a deeper level, this is something I talk about with my clients: learning to feel safe enough within yourself to face discomfort instead of immediately avoiding it.

When we can regulate ourselves through uncomfortable moments, we don’t have to let embarrassment, fear, or the need to appear ā€œperfectā€ control how we respond.

We can simply say:

ā€œOkay. This is uncomfortable. And I can handle it.ā€

That’s emotional resilience.

And apparently, sometimes it comes with a plastic grocery bag. 🤣

THE CHRONICLES OF MY LOVE LIFE

✨ Episode 2: Mr. Wall Street

Here I was, getting ready to meet a man I’d connected with online—a successful, sharp, eccentric guy who had made his way from the Bronx to Wall Street. And then, completely last minute, we decided to meet at Starbucks.

No elaborate plans.
No perfectly curated outfit.
No hours of getting ready.

Just me, him, and a very spontaneous coffee date… in pajamas. šŸ˜‚

And honestly? I think there’s a lesson in that. Sometimes we can become so attached to our ideas about how dating should happen that we leave very little room for life to actually surprise us.

We create rules about what a first date should look like, when someone should ask us out, how much notice they should give, what we should wear, where we should go… And while standards and boundaries are important, not every preference needs to become a rule. Sometimes it’s healthy to loosen the grip a little.

Be spontaneous.
Allow yourself to be curious.
And be open to receiving someone else’s spontaneity, too. Because there’s a difference between honoring your standards and protecting yourself so tightly that there’s no room for something unexpected to unfold.

Part of the work I do with my clients is helping them recognize the beliefs and patterns they may have unconsciously created around relationships—so they can decide what truly serves them and what might simply be an old rule they’ve been carrying.

You don’t have to abandon your standards. You just might discover that you have more freedom when you stop confusing your preferences with requirements.

Sometimes the best stories start with,
ā€œSure… why the hell not?ā€ šŸ˜‚

Okay… maybe it’s time for a little reintroduction. šŸ’›

There are a lot of new faces around here lately, and some of you have been with me for years—so hi. I’m Ary. šŸ‘‹šŸ¼

I’m a hypnotherapist, lifelong student of human behavior, and apparently the main character in a dating series I never auditioned for. šŸ˜‚šŸ’›

Welcome to The Chronicles of My Love Life: real stories, questionable choices, plenty of ā€œwell… s**tā€ moments, and the lessons underneath them.

I’m fascinated by why we repeat patterns, abandon ourselves, settle, overthink, struggle to receive, or feel stuck even when we know better. My work blends hypnotherapy, subconscious reprogramming, nervous system regulation, mindfulness, past-life regression, and a little spiritual woo-woo—because that’s just me.

I don’t have life completely figured out. I’m living it too—with heartbreaks, reinventions, rabbit holes, and a healthy supply of expletives. Sometimes ā€œthat sounds challengingā€ just doesn’t cut it.

So whether you’re here for healing, hypnotherapy, spiritual exploration, dating stories, or the occasional ā€œAry, what the…?ā€ moment…

Welcome. I’m really glad you’re here. šŸ’›

THE CHRONICLES OF MY LOVE LIFE
✨ Episode 1: Mr. No Pants

There are certain things I never thought I’d have to ask a grown man on a date…

Like, ā€œSo… do you actually own pants?ā€ šŸ˜‚

This man was 45.
Two teenage daughters.
And apparently, putting on pants to go on a date was… a chore. šŸ™„

Not getting dressed up.
Not wearing a suit.
Just… putting on pants.

And listen, I’m all for comfort.
I’m not asking you to wear a tuxedo to meet me for coffee. But if putting on pants to date me feels like an unreasonable burden…Sir. We may have already found our first incompatibility. šŸ˜‚

Welcome to The Chronicles of My Love Life —
where the lessons are real, the stories are entertaining, and apparently I’m still collecting data. šŸæ

And here’s the part that has nothing to do with pants. Dating isn’t just about whether someone checks the boxes on paper. It’s also about noticing how you feel around someone and whether their choices align with what matters to you.

Sometimes we talk ourselves out of what we’re noticing because we really like someone, we want to give them the benefit of the doubt, or we’re afraid that having standards means we’re being too picky.

But discernment isn’t about judging someone for being different from you. It’s about being honest with yourself about what works for you and what doesn’t.

And if you repeatedly find yourself overriding your own feelings in relationships, that’s worth exploring—not because there’s something wrong with you, but because there may be an old pattern underneath it.

That’s where my work comes in. Hypnotherapy can help you explore the beliefs and patterns beneath the surface so you can stop repeating what no longer serves you and make choices from a more grounded place.

Because sometimes the biggest dating lesson isn’t about them at all. ļæ¼It’s about learning to trust yourself. ā¤ļø

Yesterday, someone from my past called me a ā€œspoiled bratā€ when I set a boundary with them. Years ago, I might have let those words hurt me or I would’ve defended my position. Today, I recognize them for what they are: a projection.

People don’t always speak from truth. They speak through the lens of their own experiences, wounds, fears, and beliefs. Their words are often a reflection of their inner world—not your worth.

One of the greatest forms of freedom is realizing that not every opinion deserves a home in your heart. Healing teaches you the difference between constructive feedback and someone else’s unresolved emotions.

You don’t have to carry labels that were never yours. Know yourself deeply enough that someone else’s opinion doesn’t become your identity.

Protect your peace. Stay rooted in your truth, and let their projections remain theirs.

Tell me in the comments if you’ve had a similar experience. šŸ¤

Interesting, right? I’m curious… Does this describe how some of you feel? If so, tell me about it in the comments.
