💆🏼♀️ THERAPY THURSDAY: TECH NECK STRIKES AGAIN! 😂💻
Between working on the NEW online booking platform and spending entirely too many hours staring at a computer screen, my neck has officially filed a complaint to HR 🤣
So today’s stretch is brought to you by my very unhappy levator scapulae!
That’s the lovely muscle that helps lift your shoulder blade and can contribute to that annoying tightness between your neck and upper shoulder.
🤸🏼♀️ TRY THIS: LEVATOR SCAPULAE STRETCH
1️⃣ Sit or stand tall with your shoulders relaxed.
2️⃣ Turn your head about 45° to the right.
3️⃣ Slowly look downward, as though you’re looking toward your right armpit.
4️⃣ Keep your left shoulder relaxed and gently reaching downward. You should feel a stretch along the back-left side of your neck.
5️⃣ Hold for 20–30 seconds, breathing slowly. Repeat on the opposite side.
💚 BONUS TIP: Don’t yank on your head! Let gravity do the work. The stretch should feel gentle, not painful. Stop if you experience dizziness, tingling, or worsening symptoms.
And remember…
Your shoulders are NOT supposed to be earrings! 😂🤣
If you’ve been glued to a computer lately like me, give this one a try and let me know how you feel afterward!!
