What does it feel like to give your nervous system somewhere to land?

Join Collective Healing Through Art for Wellness in a Time of War: Grounding, Presence & Emotional Well-Being, facilitated by Dr. Corey Brown, DAOM, L.Ac., Dipl.OM. (NCCAOM).
This workshop centers AcuDetox, a gentle ear-acupuncture protocol often used in wellness and recovery settings to support relaxation, grounding, and nervous-system regulation.
Dr. Corey will guide participants through the AcuDetox experience alongside grounding and mindfulness practices designed to create space for reflection, presence, and emotional well-being.

In seasons of conflict, grief, uncertainty, and overwhelm, caring for ourselves is not something we have to earn.
Come slow down.
Come reconnect.
Come give your body a little room to settle.

Tell Me Where It Hurts: Ayurvedic Mocktails for the Body

What if your drink could tell a story about what your body needs?

Join Collective Healing Through Art for a special return of Tell Me Where It Hurts, featuring our Ayurvedic Mastery Coach, who will guide participants through a handcrafted mocktail experience rooted in the relationship between the body, symptoms, discomfort, and Ayurvedic wellness practices.

Throughout the workshop, participants will explore a curated menu of Ayurvedic mocktails designed to correspond with common experiences of imbalance, discomfort, and dis-ease. Our facilitator will share the ingredients, intentions, and traditional wellness principles behind each drink while preparing handcrafted mocktails in real time.

This gathering is not about diagnosing the body. It is an invitation to become more curious about it.

Together, we will explore questions like: What is the body communicating? What happens when we pay attention before discomfort becomes crisis? How might ritual, flavor, herbs, reflection, and community become part of the way we care for ourselves?

Participants will be invited to taste, reflect, write, and engage in conversation while learning more about Ayurvedic approaches to nourishment and embodied wellness.

Afterglow was such a lovely evening. ✨

So glad to support our community and The Center on Colfax and to see our future mayor (and will be) two nights in a row! The food was fantastic, and baby… when I tell you that runway SERVED. πŸ”₯

Well done to every designer and model who brought the vision to life. The looks, the energy, the creativity, beautiful from start to finish.

Hats off to The Center on Colfax for an incredible evening in support of such important work in our community.

Here are a few highlights featuring some of my favorite looks from the runway. πŸ’‹βœ¨

Today, we gather for Redefining Care, Burnout & Boundaries with Dr. Corey Brown.

So many of us have been taught to measure our care by how much we can carry, how available we can remain, and how much of ourselves we are willing to give away. But care without boundaries can become depletion.

Join Collective Healing Through Art tonight from 6–8 PM for a conversation about burnout, boundaries, capacity, and what it means to care for ourselves without guilt.

Come as you are. Bring your questions, your exhaustion, your tenderness, and your desire to imagine a different relationship with care.

Boundaries Before Burnout

What happens when we stop treating burnout like a personal failure and start listening to what our bodies have been trying to tell us?

Join Collective Healing Through Art for a restorative evening focused on stress reduction, burnout recovery, nervous system regulation, and practical boundary-setting.

On Tuesday, September 22 from 6–8 PM, Dr. Corey Brown, DAOM, L.Ac., Dipl.OM. (NCCAOM) will guide participants through AcuDetox using the NADA Protocol, gentle Qigong, and reflective conversation designed to help us reconnect with our bodies and consider what sustainable care can actually look like.

Together, we’ll explore how stress and burnout show up in the body, how boundaries can become a practice of care rather than punishment, and how simple healing tools can help us create more grounding, balance, and capacity in our everyday lives.

This is an invitation to slow down.

To exhale.

To notice where you have been carrying too much.

And to practice choosing yourself before burnout makes the choice for you.

TODAY: Healing the Mother Wound
2–4 PM | Facilitated by Cal Duran

Some wounds begin in the places where care was supposed to live.

Today, we’re making space to explore the mother wound, the grief, longing, abandonment, expectation, tenderness, and complicated truths that can live inside our relationships with mothers, mothering, and care.

Through art, reflection, and community, Healing the Mother Wound offers a space to name what happened without being required to forgive, reconcile, explain, or turn your pain into a lesson.

You have the right to name what hurt.
You have the right not to process everything out loud.
You have the right to imagine care beyond what you were given.

Join Collective Healing Through Art and Cal Duran today from 2–4 PM for an afternoon of creativity, reflection, and collective care.

Come as you are. There is room for you here. πŸ’š

What have the mothers before you carried that was never meant to become your inheritance?

On Saturday, September 12, Collective Healing Through Art invites you into Release & Renewal: Healing the Mother Wound, facilitated by multidisciplinary artist, educator, sound healer, and space holder Cal Duran.

Through sound, guided meditation, ancestral calling, and Indigenous ritual teachings, we will explore the maternal lineage seven generations back, making space to witness the wounds, patterns, resentments, and cycles carried through the mother line.

This is not about blaming our mothers. It is about becoming curious about what was inherited, what was survived, what was passed down, and what we may finally be ready to release.

Together, we will create sacred space for remembrance, forgiveness, acceptance, grief, reverence, and reconnection to the many mothers who came before us.
