Hypnosis at a dental office? Yes, really! 😊

Clinical hypnosis is one of the ways I explore helping patients feel more comfortable during care, particularly when anxiety or discomfort becomes part of the experience.

It's not about losing control. It's about guided focus, relaxation, and creating a more supportive experience for patients who may benefit from it.

Dentistry should consider the person, not just the teeth. 💜

The way you sleep may influence the way you breathe. 💤

As an airway-focused dentist, I believe understanding what happens while we sleep is just as important as what we notice when we're awake.

Small details can tell us a lot about our sleep health. 💜

Some of the most important steps in a child’s development begin with the little things we notice early.

Mouth breathing, snoring, and changes in jaw development may seem small, but they deserve our attention.

As an airway-focused dentist, I believe in understanding these signs early, while children are still growing, so we can make thoughtful decisions about their health and development.

I’m also just a girl who happens to be a dentist and believes there’s more to dentistry than just teeth.

What started as a passion for dentistry grew into a deeper curiosity about how our breathing, sleep, jaw development, and overall health are connected.

Years later, I’m still learning, asking questions, and finding new reasons to love what I do.

At the end of the day, I’m just a girl who loves being a dentist and genuinely cares about making a difference, one patient at a time. 💛

The little things we notice today can tell us a lot about how someone breathes, sleeps, and develops over time.

Snoring, mouth breathing, and teeth grinding may seem unrelated, but they can be valuable clues when we look at the bigger picture of airway health.

For me, airway dentistry is about paying attention early, asking better questions, and understanding what the body may be trying to tell us.

A healthier future often begins with noticing what others might overlook. 💛

The more I learn about airway health, the more I realize how much we still have to understand about the way our bodies function.

One thing I find fascinating is that breathing difficulties during sleep don't always involve obvious pauses in breathing or significant drops in oxygen.

In certain cases, the airway becomes narrow enough that the body has to work harder just to move air. That extra effort can briefly interrupt sleep, even when someone has no memory of waking up.

It's one of the reasons I believe airway dentistry requires us to look beyond the obvious symptoms and consider the bigger picture of someone's health.

There's always more to discover, more questions to ask, and more opportunities to improve how we care for people.

That's what keeps me curious about the work I do. 💜

Every tool in dentistry should have a purpose.

Ozone is one of the supportive tools we offer, valued for its antimicrobial properties and potential role in certain dental procedures.

For me, thoughtful dentistry means understanding the benefits, recognizing the limitations, and choosing what truly makes sense for each patient.

It's always about the bigger picture.

One of the things that has changed the way I practice dentistry is learning to pay closer attention to the little details patients share with me.

A parent mentioning that their child moves around a lot in their sleep. Someone telling me they've never really felt rested, even after eight hours. A patient who has simply gotten used to waking up tired.

These conversations may start in a dental chair, but they often lead us to questions that go far beyond teeth.

That's what I find so meaningful about airway dentistry. It's not about assuming every symptom has the same explanation. It's about being curious enough to look a little deeper and thoughtful enough to know when other healthcare professionals should be part of the conversation.

I want my patients to feel that even the smallest detail is worth sharing. You never know which conversation might help us better understand the bigger picture. 💜

October has a way of making everyone a little more tired… but if you’re waking up exhausted after a full night of sleep, your body might be trying to tell you something.

Save this if your sleep or jaw has been acting a little suspicious lately. 👀
