It seems like only yesterday that Ozempic and Wegovy became household names. In truth, it was several years ago, but the science surrounding GLP-1 medications is moving so quickly that even last year's information has become outdated.

Since we last wrote about these groundbreaking drugs, new medications have been approved, more powerful versions have moved closer to market, and researchers have uncovered additional health benefits that may go beyond the positive impact of losing weight. At the same time, we're learning more about some potentially serious side effects, and the booming market for unapproved versions of these drugs has raised new safety concerns.

For the millions of Americans taking GLP-1 medications to manage type 2 diabetes or obesity, there's a lot to catch up on. You can discover the latest in our latest blog post, The Good, the Bad, and the New.

And, if you're considering a GLP-1 medication, already taking one, or wondering whether a newer option might be right for you, the Amaze medical team can help you evaluate the benefits, risks, medication options and practical considerations based on your individual health history.

Su***de is the 10th leading cause of death in the US. Prevention isn't only for professionals. We can all notice changes, ask direct questions, and know where to point someone next. The images below cover the signs, direct and indirect, what to say if you're worried about someone, and how 988 works. Our full blog post goes deeper to include survivor's guilt, how to support someone after a loss, and more on recognizing risk before it becomes a crisis. You don't have to have all the answers. Amaze Health can help your employees find the right next step.

COVID is having a late-summer moment, again. Late summer is a favorite time for COVID-19. As summer winds down, COVID activity picks up, and this year is no exception. Cases are climbing in 47 states right now. There are a few reasons for this. Vacations are wrapping up, kids are heading back to school, and employees are returning to the office and spending more time together indoors. In short, COVID-19 likes people, and we've have millions of them.

The good news is this year's strain is bringing less severe symptoms and lower hospitalization rates than earlier waves. The bad news is it's still plenty contagious, and current symptoms overlap so much with a summer cold that testing is really the only way to know what you're dealing with.

A few things worth passing along to your teams as the season turns: CDC guidance no longer requires a fixed isolation period. The standard is staying home until symptoms have been improved and you've been fever-free for 24 hours without medication.

For employees over 60, or with a condition that raises their risk of severe COVID, timing matters more than severity. Antiviral treatments can meaningfully reduce the risk of hospitalization but Paxlovid needs to start within five days of symptoms, and Remdesivir within seven, so we recommend calling Amaze, or any healthcare provider, early, even when symptoms still feel mild. Waiting until symptoms feel unbearable can mean missing the window entirely.

None of this calls for panic. With the right amount of attention, you can encourage sick employees to stay home, support testing when it could change someone's next move, and make sure at-risk staff know not to wait to ask about treatment.

We put together a full refresher on this year's strain, testing, treatment windows, and vaccine timing so you have the accurate, current guidance on hand when employees ask what to do or how long to stay out.

It's back-to-school time! Between new backpacks and early bedtimes, many parents have a flood of health questions: Why does my kid get sick right when school starts? Is this a cold or is it strep? How sick is too sick for school? Are vaccine rules different this year?

These are the questions that aren't necessarily emergencies but also aren't effectively answered with a Google search. You don't have to figure it out alone. Call Amaze first. We can evaluate symptoms, help determine whether your child needs testing or treatment, and help you coordinate the next steps if necessary.

At Amaze, we're proud to be your healthcare partner. We're always here to help when you need us.

Some mornings the sky looks perfectly normal. Others? Orange haze. And some days, the air looks totally fine and still isn't.

Wildfire smoke doesn't care about state lines. Smoke from a fire a thousand miles away can be over your house in a few days. The real troublemaker is PM2.5, particles so tiny they slip straight into your lungs and bloodstream.

We recommend you skip the itchy-eye test. Swipe through for how to check your air quality before you head out.

At Amaze Health, we're always here to help when you need us. đź’™

We're the #1 rated healthcare provider on Trustpilot. It's official. Amaze Health is the top-rated medical group, doctor, medical clinic, and mental health service on Trustpilot—all at once.

A perfect 5-star rating (no rounding up) isn't easy to earn. Trustpilot's algorithm is built to keep companies honest. It takes hundreds of real, genuine reviews to rise to the top. This week, we got there, but this was never about a ranking. It's a reflection of our team and the care behind every call, every message, and helping patients through every hard moment. Every interaction matters.

To our team: Thank you. You earned this.
To our members: Thank you for trusting us, and for telling the world about it.

Did you know that extreme heat is the deadliest weather hazard in the United States? It claims more lives every year than hurricanes, tornadoes, and winter storms combined. It just doesn't make dramatic headlines, because heat does its damage quietly, one person at a time, without warning.

More than 175 million Americans are under heat alerts right now. If you are one of them, here are five things worth knowing:

1. Your body hasn't adapted yet. An early-season heat wave catches us off guard. Heat acclimatization takes one to two weeks, and most of us haven't had it.

2. Thirst is a late warning sign. By the time you feel it, you're already behind. Drink water before you need to.

3. Nighttime isn't the relief it feels like. When overnight temperatures stay in the upper 70s and 80s, your body never fully recovers. The stress compounds while you sleep.

4. Check your medicine cabinet. Diuretics, antihistamines, some blood pressure medications, and certain antidepressants can all make it harder for your body to cool itself.

5. Check on someone else. Older adults, young children, people with chronic conditions, and anyone living alone are most at risk. A text or a knock on the door this week could matter more than you realize.

Heat doesn't look dangerous, but that's exactly what makes it dangerous. Please take it seriously this week. Your body, and your neighbors, will thank you.
