There’s a big difference between disease and dis-ease and understanding it changes everything.
In medicine, “disease” usually refers to a named diagnosis — a label based on a cluster of symptoms, lab values, or imaging. It’s something you have.
In chiropractic philosophy, “dis-ease” is a state of incoordination. When there is interference with the nerve transmission between brain and body — what we call subluxation — the body can’t express itself fully. Parts are no longer at ease with each other. It’s not a diagnosis, it’s a condition of function.
Think of it like this:
Disease = a name for what is broken.
Dis-ease = a description of WHY the body can’t heal and adapt the way it was designed to.
Principle 30 says: Interference with transmission causes incoordination or dis-ease.
A chiropractor doesn’t treat disease. We locate and clear interference, restore transmission, and trust your Innate Intelligence to bring the body back to ease.
Your body does the healing — we just remove what’s in the way.
