Want better blood sugar control? Start by looking at how processed your everyday food choices are. ๐
Highly processed foods are often higher in refined carbs and added sugars while being lower in fiber. That combination can be digested quickly and may cause blood sugar to rise faster.
The goal isnโt perfection. Itโs learning how to UNPROCESS YOUR DIET one step at a time.
Hereโs a simple 5-Day Whole Food Reset ๐
๐ฌ DAY 1 โ REMOVE ADDED SUGAR
Cut back on soda, sweetened drinks, candy, pastries and sugary snacks. Choose water, unsweetened drinks and whole fruit instead.
๐ DAY 2 โ REPLACE REFINED CARBS
Swap foods like white bread, chips and many crackers for higher-fiber choices like beans, lentils, oats, vegetables and minimally processed whole grains.
๐ฅฌ DAY 3 โ FOCUS ON PROTEIN + GREENS
Build meals around protein and non-starchy vegetables. Think chicken + broccoli, salmon + greens, eggs + spinach or shrimp + zucchini.
๐ซ DAY 4 โ FILL UP ON FIBER
Fiber helps slow digestion and carbohydrate absorption, which can help moderate the rise in blood glucose after eating. Try beans, vegetables, berries, nuts, seeds and whole grains.
โ
DAY 5 โ PUT IT ALL TOGETHER
Reduce added sugar. Choose fewer refined carbs. Eat more protein, vegetables and fiber-rich whole foods. Drink mostly water and stay consistent.
You donโt need a โperfectโ diet. You need better choices you can repeat consistently.
