Fourth in our Dignity in the Details series.

At the end of every day our team completes terminal cleaning, the full reset that keeps the facility safe and ready for tomorrow. It reduces infection risk and it is part of meeting AAAHC standards.

It is not one person’s job. Every team member has a role in making sure each area is properly cleaned and disinfected. Working together, communicating, and taking some pride in it is what turns a daily task into a standard.

Dignity goes down to the smallest details, including every nook and cranny.

📫💌 You may have found some fun mail in your mailbox this week. Inside it was our year-end goal:

📣 $300,000 before December 31 📣

That number is not abstract. It walks with women and men navigating unintended pregnancies and sexual health concerns. It strengthens men, women, and youth through significant health milestones. It makes sure we are ready for what next year asks of us.

Every gift pulls up a chair at the table of dignity and invites one more person to connect with their health.🪑🪑

If you did not get the Fall Newsletter, stop by the clinic. We would love to hand you a copy and show you the space where your generosity meets real people.

On October 15 we observed Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day, honoring the children lost through miscarriage, stillbirth, and infant death, and the families who carry their memory.

Some of these children were held in loving arms. Others were held only in their parents’ hopes. A life does not have to be long to be deeply loved.

There may be no photographs, no shared memories, sometimes not even words. Unseen grief is no less real. Healing cannot be rushed and grief cannot be measured.

To every family carrying the memory of a child they never got to watch grow: your child mattered, your grief matters, and you matter. If you need a place to begin, Connect is here to listen.

“With Survivors, Always” is the theme of Domestic Violence Awareness Month 2026.

According to the CDC, roughly 43.5 million women and 20.7 million men in the United States have experienced physical violence, sexual violence, or stalking by an intimate partner during their lifetime. Behind every one of those numbers is a person whose safety and sense of worth was affected. Many survivors face real barriers to getting help.

Abuse is never the survivor’s fault, and everyone deserves safety, respect, and healthy relationships.

At Connect we listen without judgment, meet people with compassion, and help connect survivors with resources. Every survivor’s path is different, and support means honoring each person’s voice and choices.

Next up in our Dignity in the Details series is about hand washing!

Proper hand hygiene is one of the simplest and most effective ways to prevent the spread of infection, protecting patients and the staff caring for them. Every month we audit our own team on technique, timing, and education. The audits reinforce good practice and show us where to improve.

A simple practice, done consistently, is what a clean and safe environment actually looks like.

Knowing your body is part of caring for it. Taking time to notice how your breasts normally look and feel makes it easier to recognize a change worth discussing with a provider. A new lump, skin dimpling, a change in shape, or unusual discharge all deserve attention. Breast cancer affects both women and men, so this matters for everyone.

Screening needs vary with age, personal and family history, and other risk factors, so talk with your provider about whether screening is right for you and when it should start.

Care should never feel intimidating or out of reach. Call (701) 483-9353 to book a free consultation.

Our team attended the Dickinson Area Chamber of Commerce Rise and Lead: Women in Business event. The First Lady of North Dakota gave a keynote about pulling up a seat to the table and making room for your neighbor to pull one up too, which lands close to home for us. You will hear more of that theme at our Come to the Table Banquet in April 2027.

We also did “exercise snacks,” heard from a panel of local women running businesses, and came back with conversations already started. Thank you to the Chamber for building the kind of room where that happens.
