WHY PAY MORE FOR HANDMADE, ALL-NATURAL SOAP? IS IT REALLY WORTH IT?
Years ago, we didn't know what we know today about the ingredients in many of the products we use every day. We didn't always question what was in our soaps, lotions, or skincare products. We simply bought what was on the shelf.
Today, more people are reading labels, asking questions, and making more intentional choices about what they put on their skin. And that's one reason handmade, all-natural soaps have become so popular! 🌿
So what's the difference between store-bought soap and handmade soap?
Quality Ingredients: At CeCe's Collective, I use thoughtfully selected plant-based oils and butters like olive oil, coconut oil, cocoa butter, and avocado oil, just to name a few.
Essential Oils: My soaps are scented with pure, plant-derived essential oils rather than synthetic fragrance oils.
Natural Colorants: Beautiful colors come from nature! Think clays, spirulina, turmeric, pumpkin, carrot juice, and green tea instead of artificial dyes.
Naturally Occurring Glycerin: My cold-process soaps retain the glycerin naturally created during soapmaking, which helps attract moisture to your skin.
Handcrafted in Small Batches: Each batch is made by hand and cured for 4–6 weeks. No rushing the process!
BUT HERE'S WHAT I REALLY WANT YOU TO THINK ABOUT...
Yes, handmade soap costs a little more than many store-bought bars. Quality ingredients and small-batch craftsmanship come at a price.
But is the difference really that much?
Think about it. Skipping just ONE specialty coffee a month could make up much of the difference between buying ordinary soap and treating yourself to a beautiful, handcrafted bar made with ingredients you can feel good about. And a properly cared-for bar of handmade soap can last for weeks!
