The body keeps score in places you can’t always see.

If you live with trauma or chronic pain, your stomach can be one of the places that holds a lot.

That’s why I use a ball here sometimes — not to force anything, but to create a little space, notice what shows up, and slow everything down.

Root, sacral, and solar plexus work can bring up safety, emotion, and identity at the same time.

Start below the belly button, breathe slowly, and let the body answer in its own time.

I don’t treat time in nature like a luxury anymore

For me, being outside is part of how I keep my stress down and my body steady.

Having recovered from an autoimmune disease, it’s the small things that add up to feeling well.

A walk, fresh air, quiet, and a space to breathe can do a lot for my nervous system.

This is one of the ways I stay well.

Stillness is part of my treatment plan.

After 10 hours of teaching, a moment of stillness was needed.

When I give so much of my energy and attention to others during the day, I have to remember to give it back to myself.

Yes, I put an autoimmune disease into remission through lifestyle wellness, but it’s lifestyle that can unravel it all.

I have to find moments to ground myself even though I’m busier than ever.

I turned 20 years of healing into one guide.

After I shared my story of reversing autoimmune disease, people kept reaching out asking what I did.

So I put the whole thing into one guide — the hard-won lessons, the lifestyle changes, and the things that actually helped me heal and so much more.

It’s been 20 years in the making, because chronic pain and autoimmune disease don’t get solved by quick answers.

Some days, you don’t want more medication—you want to give your body what it’s asking for.

If you’re dealing with aching muscles, stress, or a flare-up that has you moving like everything hurts, this is for you.

I used to think the most helpful thing was another NSAID.

Over time, I came to realize that sometimes my body needed something different: releasing what it was holding onto: physically and emotionally.

This simple exercise releases tension from the muscles, relaxes the mind, and opens the body.

A perfect remedy for a flare-up.

If you’re living with autoimmune disease or chronic symptoms and you’ve been handed the same dead-end answers, I get why this stops you in your tracks.

What changed for me wasn’t a miracle — it was a different approach to lifestyle wellness, consistency, and actually getting serious about what my body was asking for.

That’s exactly why I built the program I wish I had when I was trying to reclaim my health.

I’m a Pilates instructor who knows flip-flops aren’t exactly my feet’s best friend. But when you have kids, the floor becomes a minefield of toys, food, and LEGOS. 😂

So for now, I’m choosing easy-on, easy-off footwear because I’d rather protect my feet than step on another LEGO.

Someday, I know I’ll look back at this chaos and miss it. All those toys scattered everywhere will remind me of kids who were happily playing, imagining, creating, and simply enjoying being kids.

Sometimes wellness isn’t about doing everything perfectly. Sometimes it’s about taking care of your feet while your kids are busy making memories. ❤️

I’ve always been a perfectionist.

I wanted to be the best at everything. I double-majored, worked on the side, and constantly pushed myself to do more.

Looking back, I can see how much pressure I was putting on myself—and how much stress that created in my body.

Over time, I’ve learned to become a mindful perfectionist.

I still care about doing things well.

I still have high standards.

But I’ve learned to give myself room to make mistakes.

Because constantly pushing, overthinking, and feeling like nothing is ever good enough takes a toll.

Especially when you’re dealing with chronic illness.

Research has linked unhealthy perfectionism with higher stress, fatigue, and poorer physical health—especially when you constantly feel like you’re never doing enough.

Sometimes taking care of yourself means learning when good enough really is good enough. 🌿
