Scar Camouflage: Understanding the Healing Process
What you see immediately after treatment is NOT the final result!
As these photos demonstrate, scar camouflage goes through several color transitions as the skin heals from the inside out.
Why does this happen? Scar tissue has altered blood flow and pigment behavior. As inflammation subsides, tissue remodels, and melanin production responds to treatment, the visible color can shift from pink, red, or violet to gray, brown, or even lighter tones.
Healing timelines matter:
Facial scars: Approximately 8 weeks
Body scars: 10–12 weeks
Melanin-reactive skin: May require even longer to stabilize.
This is why we allow adequate healing time before evaluating pigment retention and making color adjustments in subsequent sessions.
Scar camouflage is a process, not a one-session color match. Patience, proper timing, and a carefully planned approach are essential to achieving natural-looking results.

* I seated a similar post from yesterday because I had to remake it. I tried to have ai organize the images and upon closer scrutiny I realized it messed up the picture order and left out the before image.
