As a nonprofit, we help individuals, families, and communities build resilience and create lasting, positive change. Syntero is proud to work with partners throughout the area to offer our services to individuals, through support groups and through community programs. Syntero is nationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), certified by the Ohio Department of Behavioral Health, and supported by ADAMH Board of Franklin County, Delaware-Morrow Mental Health & Recovery Services Board, grants, and private donations.

The Mental Health & Recovery Services Levy provides critical funding for local mental health care, addiction recovery, and supportive housing across Delaware and Morrow Counties. Local tax dollars stay local. By law, levy funds can only be used for behavioral health services and cannot be transferred to general county funds. Strict state and local oversight helps maximize every dollar spent on direct community care.

Channeling lived experience into purpose!

Syntero's newest board member and Regional Vice President for A Kid Again, Brianne McFarland, and her family have turned a dark time in their lives into advocacy—providing a bright ray of hope for others facing mental health struggles.

During a painful battle with overwhelming depression, anxiety, and thoughts of giving up, Brianne's son, Jake, asked her for help. He just couldn't see a way forward.

Brianne did seek help for Jake, but finding the right support was a difficult journey as Jake continued to struggle even after receiving intensive support services.

Then, everything changed! Jake's school connected him with Syntero's school-based mental health and prevention services which gave him the tools and turning point he needed to get on the path to healing and regaining hope.

Today, Jake is channeling his lived experience into purpose—studying for a career in mental health to guide others through their darkest moments.

Brianne shares their family's story in a recent interview with reporter, Hannah Buzza on ABC 6 WSYX-TV.

🎉 We are thrilled and honored to announce that Syntero, Inc. has been selected to receive $85,960 in grant funding from the OneOhio Recovery Foundation! 💙

For over 50 years, Syntero has been dedicated to delivering compassionate, expert mental health and substance use disorder services across Central Ohio. This award—part of OneOhio’s second regional grant cycle—will directly support front-line efforts to strengthen addiction prevention, treatment, recovery, and community resilience.

Specifically, this funding will go toward providing Youth-Led Peer Prevention Programming in rural Ohio schools.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the OneOhio Recovery Foundation, Governor Mike DeWine, Attorney General Dave Yost, and the local regional committees for their trust and investment in our mission.

Together, we are building healthier, more resilient communities across Ohio.
