🩺 PA Week | The Journey, The Purpose, The Passion 🤍
This Physician Assistant Week, we’re highlighting John Burgmeier, PA-C, and the people and experiences that inspired his journey into healthcare.
John’s passion for medicine began with his mom, who dedicated her career to nursing, and grew as he followed in the footsteps of his older sister, a physician assistant he describes as one of the most caring and compassionate people he knows. Their influence helped shape his desire to pursue a career centered on helping others.
For John, one of the most rewarding parts of being a PA is the opportunity to care for patients during some of their most vulnerable moments. He believes that through compassionate, personalized care, PAs can help patients live healthier, happier lives.
As someone who grew up in the community he now serves, John finds special meaning in being part of his patients’ healthcare journeys. He’s passionate about giving back to the community that helped shape him and helping patients return to the activities and people they love most.
After a couple of years with Dubuque Orthopaedic Surgeons, we’re grateful to have John as part of our team and appreciate the compassion, dedication, and commitment he brings to our patients every day!
