North Shore Sauna Sauna tents are an affordable, portable, and authentic option, allowing you to sauna anywhere!

Portable doesn't necessarily mean you're packing up your sauna tent every weekend and heading into the mountains.

Maybe you do. We fully support that.

But portability also means a sauna that doesn't require building an entire room, permanently giving up part of your yard, or making sauna complicated.

From our sauna tents to our stoves, efficiency has always been part of the design. Quick setup. Serious heat. Use it at home or take it somewhere incredible.

Everything wants your attention.

Your phone. Your inbox. Work. News. Notifications. The 47 tabs currently open in your browser.

Then you step into a hot sauna tent and, for a little while, none of it matters.

Sauna gives you permission to slow down. To sit. To breathe. To have a conversation or enjoy the silence.

We could probably all use a little more of that right now.

There aren't many places left where doing absolutely nothing feels productive.

The sauna is one of them.

No notifications. No emails. No scrolling. Just heat, quiet, and a little time to yourself.

Whether your portable sauna tent is sitting beside a mountain lake or 20 feet from your back door, sometimes the most valuable part of the session is simply having nowhere else you need to be.

We designed a portable sauna tent so people could take sauna beyond the backyard.

Mark apparently took that as a challenge.

Over the years, we’ve watched these sauna tents show up at campsites, rivers, beaches, mountains, dirt bike trips, winter adventures, and places we never imagined when we started North Shore Sauna.

And honestly? Keep it coming.

If you can safely get a sauna tent there, we want to see it there.

Take your first cup of coffee outside. Go for the hike. Sit by the fire. Set up the sauna tent somewhere beautiful.

It doesn’t always have to be a grand adventure. Sometimes reconnecting with nature is just intentionally spending a little more of your day outside.

There’s growing research connecting time in nature with benefits for stress, mood, and overall well-being.

We built a portable sauna because we wanted one of our favorite rituals to be able to come outside with us.

Especially in October, we can’t think of many better places to be.

There’s something about a sauna that makes conversation flow.

Phones disappear. Distractions disappear. Nobody is rushing anywhere. You just sit, sweat, and talk.

That communal experience isn’t new. Sauna traditions have brought people together for generations, and it’s one of our favorite things about owning a portable sauna tent today.

Sometimes the best benefit of sauna is simply spending an uninterrupted hour with people you care about.

If you’re new to sauna, venik can look a little strange.

A venik is a bundle of leafy branches, traditionally birch or oak, used during sauna bathing. The branches are soaked and then gently whisked, pressed, or tapped against the body to move hot air and steam across the skin.

The result? An incredibly sensory sauna ritual that combines heat, aroma, massage, and tradition.

Try it once and the bundle of branches hanging next to your sauna tent suddenly makes a lot more sense.

October mornings hit a little differently when your day starts inside a hot sauna tent.

As the temperatures drop and the mornings get darker, an early portable sauna session can be a great way to warm up, slow down, and start the day feeling ready to move.

Coffee after sauna? Great.

Coffee in the sauna? We’re not here to judge.

We were the first U.S.-based sauna tent company, and we’ve spent the years since doing what we love: making portable sauna better.

Every season, every trip, every customer, and every sauna session has taught us something. We’ve continuously refined our sauna tents, stoves, materials, and designs because good enough was never really the goal.

We were sauna people before we were a portable sauna company. Still are. And we think that shows.

You can pack up your portable sauna tent, drive into the mountains, find a remote lake, set up camp, build a fire, and turn your sauna session into an entire adventure.

Or...

You can walk 30 feet into your backyard.

One of the best parts of a portable sauna is that both are completely acceptable. We checked.
