What do needles in your hips, glutes, back, or other muscles have to do with your pelvic floor?
Potentially more than you’d think. 🌿
Your pelvic floor doesn’t work by itself. It’s part of a much bigger system, and when muscles surrounding the pelvis are tight, overworking, sensitive, or compensating, that can influence how your whole body moves and feels.
That’s where dry needling may be one tool we use during pelvic floor therapy.
Depending on what YOUR body needs, dry needling can be used to address areas of muscular tension and sensitivity and support mobility. But it’s never about sticking a needle somewhere and calling it a day. 😂
We’re still looking at the whole picture.
How are you breathing?
How are you moving?
Where are you holding tension?
What is your pelvic floor doing?
What patterns keep showing up in everyday life?
Dry needling can be one piece of the puzzle alongside movement, breathwork, mobility, education, and pelvic floor coordination.
Because at The Holistic Pelvis, we’re not just chasing the spot that hurts.
We’re trying to understand why your body is asking for help in the first place. 💛
