💗 **October is Menopause Awareness Month AND Mental Health Awareness Month.** 💗
And I want to gently remind you of something: **You deserve more than awareness. You deserve care, understanding, and support.**
Have you been feeling unlike yourself lately?
Maybe you're exhausted, not sleeping well, feeling more anxious or emotional, struggling with brain fog, or dealing with changes in your body that you just can't explain.
Maybe you've wondered if it's stress, getting older, or simply having too much on your plate.
Or maybe you've even felt dismissed and been told you're too young for perimenopause.
If this sounds like you, please know that you are not alone. ❤️
Perimenopause can begin earlier than many women realize, and symptoms don't always start with hot flashes or irregular periods. Some women notice changes years before their cycles become irregular.
That doesn't mean every symptom is caused by hormones—other health concerns can look similar, and getting the right medical guidance matters. But **being told you're too young shouldn't stop you from asking questions.**
I understand how discouraging it can feel to search for answers. When I was struggling with chronic pain in my mid-30's, I saw multiple healthcare professionals, even a woman's health urogynecologist and yet perimenopause never came up in those conversations. It took a different approach to my health before hormonal factors were explored.
That experience is one reason I'm so passionate about helping women feel informed, supported, and empowered to speak up about their health.
So, what can you do today?
🌷 Start noticing patterns in your sleep, energy, mood, and other symptoms.
🌷 Write down questions you'd like to discuss with your healthcare provider.
🌷 Choose one small act of self-care, whether that's creating art, taking a gentle walk, tending your fall garden, making time to rest, or giving yourself permission to slow down and just 'be'.
Please reach out for support if you're feeling overwhelmed. You don't have to figure everything out alone!
These steps may feel small, but they're a place to begin—and you deserve support as you work out what comes next.
I've written a new blog post called **“You're Too Young to Be in Perimenopause”** where I share more of my story, explain why this myth can keep women from exploring their symptoms and start feeling like themselves again, and offer actionable steps you can begin taking today.
So feel free to grab your favorite cozy drink, settle into a favorite chair, and come read with me. (It's not long, I promise!) And if this topic brings up some hard emotions for you, that's okay, too. This is a conversation worth having with self-compassion and kindness.

Let's make this October about more than awareness. That's only the first step. Let's listen to one another, take our concerns seriously, and make room for the care and support women deserve.
You are not alone. And if you know someone who could also use this kind of support, please share with her, too. ❤️
Have you been feeling unlike yourself lately? Maybe you're exhausted even after a full night's sleep, struggling with aches and pains you can't explain, feeling more anxious or emotional than usual, or wondering why the things that used to come easily now feel so much harder.Perhaps you've mentioned...
