Congratulations to Dr. Marie Dusch on hosting another successful Educational Open House and Free Screening event with over 65 attendees!

Educational open house and free screening events provide physicians with a community awareness and engagement platform to inform patients about ultrasound-guided carpal tunnel release (UGCTR).

98 attendees. 73 appointments scheduled. All in under one hour.

Congratulations to Dr. Daniel McKernan and Dr. Kirk Davis of Fulton County Health Center on hosting another successful Educational Open House and Free Screening event!

This is a great example of how these events help practices connect with their communities by educating patients about carpal tunnel syndrome, answering questions, and providing free ultrasound screenings to identify potential candidates for ultrasound-guided carpal tunnel release (UGCTR).

For Dr. Davis, the impact has been significant, “I’m having a lot of fun and have been shocked that in less than one year, we’ve grown from performing 2-3 carpal tunnel releases per month to more than 20 per month!”

Last month at the MSK Ultrasound Forum, Johnny T. Nelson, MD performed a live ultrasound-guided carpal tunnel release (UGCTR) on a fellow surgeon.

Here’s what the patient, Dr. Barwick, had to say about his recovery following the procedure:

“I had the procedure on Wednesday and returned to work that Friday. Less than a week later, I was back in the operating room performing knee and hip replacements. I experienced almost immediate relief from my median nerve numbness and have had very little discomfort during recovery.” – Jeff F. Barwick, Jr., MD

See the power of ultrasound in action.

This animation highlights an ultrasound-guided carpal tunnel release (UGCTR) using the UltraGuideCTR™ device, illustrating how real-time ultrasound visualization helps physicians clearly see anatomy throughout the procedure.

This minimally invasive treatment option, that can be performed in the clinic setting, allows many patients to return to normal activities in as little as 3-5 days, minimizing disruption to work, family, and everyday life.

At last week's Oklahoma Workers' Compensation Education Association Annual Educational Conference & Expo in Tulsa, OK, Dr Carolyn Berg, MD performed two LIVE demonstrations of ultrasound-guided carpal tunnel release (UGCTR) and ultrasound-guided trigger finger release (UGTFR).

The live sessions gave attendees the opportunity to see these minimally invasive techniques in action while highlighting the benefits of smaller incisions, faster return to work, and improved patient experience.

“Ultrasound has revolutionized my practice…in minimally invasive surgery, usually you sacrifice some exposure and the thing with ultrasound is it allows you to have the best of both worlds.” – Dr. Victor Marwin

Hear from Dr. Marwin on why MSK ultrasound has become an essential part of his practice and how it supports visualization, confidence, and efficiency in minimally invasive procedures.
