I call my yoga class Mystic Movement. I know the name could be interpreted as vague.
I could call it stretch and reset, vinyasa flow, restorative, breathe and meditate, pop lock and drop it- idk 🤷♀️
These could all be considered different styles and practices. And that feels a little definitive to me.
But I had to pick one. So I did it with the intention of leaving space for change, growth, and guide a practice that flows with the energy of all of us in the room, and the energetics of the season.
Some days:
✨the energy is high, so we might move through a stronger sequence. Maybe encouragement for more core work, longer holds, or even start to explore the foundations of that cool yoga pose you saw on IG that one time 👀
✨ the vibe calls for minimal movement, extra blocks, bolsters/ supportive yoga pillows, a lot of guided breath and meditation.
✨we might be feeling more stretchy and incorporate dynamic movements
✨ sometimes dance, shake, shimmy, and non “traditional yoga” movements are encouraged
And sometimes it’s a mix of things.
Each class may have a different theme and energetic, but the consistency lives in the core foundation to practice moving towards presence and do our best to even to take a little peek into our inner worlds.
If this sounds like something you’re into,
I’ll see you at 5:30 on Thursday nights at MATRIX personalized fitness in East Greenwich.
🤍✨
