Good morning!

I would love your help spreading the word about ACAP SECT–River Valley.

Earlier this year, we were introduced to the national nonprofit ACAPcommunity (Adult Children of Aging Parents). We knew immediately that we needed to be part of this. Together with 11 other experts in senior care who felt the same, we formed our Leadership Team and launched our chapter in August, serving Middlesex and New London Counties.

As a new chapter, we need your help reaching people who don’t know about us—yet.

Our educational presentations are free to attend. These are not networking events. Our focus is on helping family caregivers understand their options, find local resources, and feel less alone.

Knowledge is power, but so many people don’t know where to begin—or even what questions to ask. We can help, and we want to.

Please follow our page, share our posts, and tell someone who could benefit about us. No one should navigate aging alone. 💜💜

Most families we meet didn’t start with a plan. They started with a phone call: a fall, a hospital stay, a parent who suddenly can’t manage at home.

Aging is a series of transitions, and most of them are quieter than a crisis. Dad stops driving at night. Mom’s mail piles up. The kitchen gets harder to manage. These aren’t failures. They’re signals, and noticing them early gives your family more choices.

Yesterday, as members of the Shoreline Eldercare Alliance, we had the pleasure of participating in the Annual Celebration of Healthy Aging Expo.

One of my favorite moments involved a couple I met—and a husband who really wanted to win our raffle basket! Every time he saw me, he smiled and gave me a thumbs-up. Wouldn’t you know it—his ticket was pulled! Of course, I had to capture the moment that made me smile.

It was a wonderful day celebrating healthy aging, honoring our veterans, and embracing the joy of living each day!

After months of planning, conversations, and bringing together an incredible team of professionals, we're officially launching ACAP SECT–River Valley.

This isn't just another program.

Beginning this week, families throughout Middlesex and New London Counties will have access to trusted education, local experts, practical resources, and a community that understands the journey.

Here's to helping families find answers a little sooner, feel a little less alone, and navigate aging with greater confidence.

Sometimes the right resource arrives exactly when a family needs it most. I hope ACAP becomes that resource for our community.
